(Baltimore, Maryland): Once unable to continue his studies at Morgan State due to financial reasons, Calvin has already helped over 222 students attend that same university with full and partial financial aid scholarships. In 2002, he and his wife set up the Calvin and Tina Tyler Endowed Scholarship Fund and in 2016 donated $5 million to help students residing in the Tylers’ hometown of Baltimore. Because of the pandemic, Tyler has raised his contribution to $20 million, making it the largest private donation from an alumnus in University history and is believed to be the largest contribution of its kind to any Historically Black College or University (HBCU) nationwide from an alum.

"My wife and I have become keenly aware of the effect that the pandemic has had on a number of young people trying to get an education [and] we have the resources to help a lot of young people," Tyler said, also saying he wants to see more students able to pursue their dreams and do it debt-free.

Spurs honoring 1,000 frontline workers with free tickets The organization says they want to show appreciation for their tireless efforts during the pandemic and winter storm.

Sam Nadol’s love of fixing computers started when he was playing with an old computer in his attic. He decided to take his technical repair skills to help those in need in his community and has donated 96 computers to people in need. His school provided a grant with which he was able to create the non-profit Reboot— Nadol takes personal donations and donations from recycling centers and companies.the future is bright!

La Villita museum tells history of trailblazing African Americans that shaped San Antonio For the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum, the goal is simple: to “collect, preserve, and share” African American history that may often go untold.

(Alexandria, Louisiana): Devin Hinkston was driving around last week when he spotted a young boy playing basketball in his driveway using a trash can as a hoop. He decided to change that... Later he rang the doorbell later on , the grandmother of the 8-year-old was so surprised by the gesture. Patricia recounts the experience: “This young man knocked on my door and said, 'Ma'am, I seen your little boy shooting the ball in the trash can earlier and I went and bought him a basketball hoop.' Jeremiah's face lit up. Truly an angel. What a blessing. I'd never met him before. Thank you Devin! ❤️"
