Dr. Jonny Desposorio (PGY-1) had an abstract accepted to the ASRM 2024 Scientific Congress & Expo! “Impact of Age on the Effectiveness of Fertility Awareness Education (fertilityed) Following Exposure to TikTokTM-Style Videos Versus Brochure”
Dr. Claire Schenken (PGY-2) had an abstract accepted to the ASRM 2024 Scientific Congress & Expo! “Decreased Endometriotic Lesion Formation in CD44-/-/RHAMM-/-Double Knock-Out Mice”
Dr. Madison Chapman (PGY-4) was selected to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Christian Medical and Dental Association!

Our new besties are are killing it in orientation!! Today they reviewed pelvic exams and IUD insertions with our amazing faculty. We are so excited to start working with them in a couple of weeks! ✨

It’s another and today we feature the amazing Dr. Rose Ann Huynh!! ⭐️
Dr. Huynh is the most outgoing, uplifting, and optimistic humans to grace these wards and clinics. We have loved her infectious laughter and have learned so much from her brilliance. She brings so much joy to each team and patient experience, and she will continue to improve the lives of all she is around when she joins the faculty as an academic generalist at Brown University! Dr. Huynh, we will miss you so much, come back and visit! ⭐️
Each year since Covid we celebrate the graduating residents and fellows with a walk bye, where we all get to say a huge congratulations and see you later to all of the amazing graduates. We’re so proud of you!
This , we say a bittersweet goodbye to Dr. Serdar Unlu! He will be joining a practice in Houston, TX, and we couldn’t be more excited for him! ⭐️
Dr. Unlu is perhaps one of the kindest people we have had the pleasure of having in this residency. He has been such a patient, kindhearted teacher with unique expertise, and has been a positive leader on our team. We are so grateful to him for his friendship, encouragement, introduction to phenomenal Turkish food, and excellent patient care. We will miss you so much, Dr. Unlu!! Come back and visit! ❤️❤️

Why are you excited to come to San Antonio?: I loved my time in San Antonio during my audition rotation last fall and knew it was where I wanted to be. My parents recently moved from Utah to San Marcos, so my husband and I are excited to be close to family while I go through training! I can’t wait to get started and have the opportunity to grow in this field alongside such awesome faculty and co-residents!

A few weeks ago, our family grew by one beautiful girl! Dr. Julia Armstrong and her husband (also Dr. Armstrong) welcomed home their sweet little girl, Addison 💕congratulations, Armstrong family, we are so happy for you!! 😍

Dr. Theresa MacGregor has been a marvelous addition to our program, bringing us so much joy and laughter and love! She is a phenomenal teacher, and brings so much enthusiasm and patience to her role as chief. She is such a kind soul and a wonderful leader. We love working with her in the operating room and on the wards, and we are so excited that we get to keep her as faculty next year!! 🤩❤️
Our next bittersweet is with Dr. Blake Seeker! 🌸
We have been so blessed to have such a dedicated, driven chief on our team—Dr. Seeker has been a compassionate caregiver to patients and a fiercely supportive friend and co-resident. We have learned so much through her example, and she has pushed us to be the best version of ourselves! We will certainly miss her next year, but we are so excited for her amazing journey ahead as a private practice OB-GYN in Austin!! Dr. Seeker, please come back for a visit 🥹❤️

Dr. Rachael Counts is an absolute force of nature and a bright light here in our program! She has served as an incredible leader, teacher, advocate, and friend to fellow residents AND patients. There is no one more excited, encouraging, or enthusiastic about delivering babies, life chats, or rollercoasters—for all these reasons, we are very happy to keep her here at UT 🥰 thank you for being such a wonderful chief, Dr. Counts!! ❤️⭐️

Why are you so excited to come to San Antonio? I’m beyond excited about coming to San Antonio! I absolutely loved my interview, and I can’t wait to meet all my future co-residents. I want to explore the Riverwalk and the Pearl, and try lots of Tex-Mex. Most importantly, I’m excited at the opportunity to serve and become a part of this incredible community😊

Why are you excited to come to San Antonio: I’m actually staying here! Having attended medical school at UT Health San Antonio, I’ve been fortunate to experience the warmth and camaraderie of this institution. I’m excited to continue working with the amazing residents and faculty who have made this place feel like home.

Why are you excited to come to San Antonio?: Ah I can’t fit it all into a caption!!!! My husband and I just fell in love with San Antonio over the course of medical school. I’m over-the-moon to be staying here to learn from the faculty who inspired me to pursue such a rewarding specialty and I’m eager to work with the awesome medical students at UTHSCSA!
