Whenever I'm feeling stressed, I know a quick stretch will help me clear my head. But sometimes I can't help but wonder why stretching makes all those snap, crackle, and pop noises.
Turns out, there's a scientific explanation for it! When you stretch, your muscles lengthen and the tension on your tendons increases. This causes the fluid in your joints to form small bubbles, which collapse and make that popping noise.
