During the first waive off covid, farmers were here for our community. Second waive- same- we were here for y’all. Now that life opens up and grocery stores have started coming back to life, there is a decision to be made: Do you still support your local farmers? Or do you return to the grocery store and to a broken food system? It comes down to supporting local. Farmers do not miss a beat. What’s your decision?

Zucchini breakfast time. The key to sautéed zucchini is cut somewhat thin and heat the pan up hot prior to sauté. The goal is to have the zucchini retain a small bite versus mushy. When the zucchini goes mushy, all the water let’s out of the veggies and it’s not a good situation.

Looking back at what got us here in the first place. This Caroline sweet white onion was the first onion we ever grew many years ago. Damn good onion.

Urban Veg team had been hard at work this past week to make and restock a lot of our jams, jellies, and sauces. Not an easy task as they fly off the shelves each week but it’s fun to try to keep up!
