Remembering this day 76 years ago.

"A Day that Will Live in Infamy"

On this day 76 years ago more than 2,400 sailors, soldiers and civilians were killed - and more than 1,000 others wounded.
Nearly 20 American naval vessels were destroyed, including eight giant battleships. Over 300 airplanes were also lost.

The attack prompted President Franklin D. Roosevelt to address the nation from a joint session of Congress during which he called December 7th a "day that will live in infamy..." and called on the members to pass a declaration of war. They did so, marking the entry of the United States into what became World War II.

Please take a moment today and remember the sacrifices of those that came before us so that we could be free.
