📢📢📢 Important Update in Allergy Treatment:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has just approved Neffy, the first epinephrine nasal spray for the emergency treatment of allergic reactions, including life-threatening anaphylaxis. This new option is approved for both adults and pediatric patients weighing at least 30 kilograms (about 66 pounds).
This approval marks a significant advancement in the management of severe allergic reactions, offering a needle-free alternative for those at risk.
Stay safe, stay informed, and spread the word!
Vaccines are one of the safest ways to protect your health, especially for those with chronic conditions like asthma. 🤓💉🧬🧪
Here are recommended vaccines, particularly for patients with respiratory conditions like asthma:
COVID-19: Stay protected from COVID-19.
Flu Vaccine: Get it annually to ward off seasonal flu.
Tdap Vaccine: Shield yourself from tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough.
Pneumococcal Vaccines: Defend against serious pneumococcal diseases.
Zoster Vaccine: If you're 50 or older, protect yourself from shingles.
Don't wait. Vaccinate! 🌟
We are celebrating the National Immunization Awareness Month: Why Are Regular Immunizations Important?
1. Immunizations protect you and your community by reducing the spread of diseases. The more people vaccinated, the less likely major outbreaks will occur.
2. Vaccination is much safer than developing natural immunity, as some diseases can have lasting, harmful effects.
3. Preventing diseases through vaccination reduces healthcare costs by minimizing the need for medical treatments, hospitalizations, and long-term care associated with serious illnesses.
Protect yourself and others. Get vaccinated! 💉✨
Asthma symptoms can flare up due to allergens like pollen, animal dander, and dust mites, or irritants such as smoke and chemical fumes.
Other causes including extreme weather, exercise, emotional stress, and respiratory infections, like the flu, can make you more vulnerable and trigger an exacerbation.
At ACE we care about you and your well-being. Schedule a visit today to keep your asthma under control.

Enjoying the sunshine and having eczema can be a challenge. Here are some essential tips to keep your skin safe and healthy this summer:
☀️Limit Your Daily Exposure:
Gradually increase your time in the sun to help your skin adapt without causing flare-ups.
😎🌴Avoid the Sun Between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.:
The sun’s rays are strongest during these hours, so seek shade or stay indoors to protect your skin.
🧴Use Sunscreen:
Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Apply it generously and reapply every two hours or after swimming and sweating.
🔦Avoid Tanning Salons:
Tanning beds can worsen eczema and cause significant skin damage. Opt for safer sun exposure practices instead.

Health disparities disproportionately impact Latino and Black American populations suffering from asthma. Income and education inequities, poor housing quality, long-term stress, limited access to health care services, and exposure to molds, pets, and pollution are major causes of asthma disparities.
At ACE our Bicultural and Spanish-speaking staff members provide care prioritizing accessibility, collaboration, and education to all patients. Now scheduling new patients. Call today at 210-851-8211

Aceptamos nuevos pacientes. Llama hoy al 210-851-8211.
