The day started kinda damp out with an overcast sky that quickly burnt away around 9am. If you were one of the lucky many that was still out on the course around 1030am I'm sure you managed to get a little cooked by the heat. That dust sure does stick.

I noticed a few gradual climbs, and deep sand traps as I made my way to the second shoot location. I'm sure the route punished a few bike and cyclist. I met a rider who was on his third ride "EVER" I think he finished...

I definitely am bringing a large cooler with drinks next time. A single water jug was not enough for the heat. Even if I was just sitting around waiting for riders to pass.

Aside for a small pack of wild boars that crossed the road about fifty yards from me, I had fun seeing all the particapants getting through the ride. I would definitely recommend the Ranchland Grind to cyclist. I might even try it next year.
