The Big Give Fundraiser at La Churreria

It is Official: The LUMINARIA Contemporary Arts Festival Is moving to St. Paul Square!

St. Paul Square is excited to host the biggest arts festival in Texas on Saturday, October 19th, from 6 PM to Midnight. The event will feature entertainment for all, filling the streets with excitement. We are also partnering with the UTSA Athletics Department to enhance their homecoming game with visual art and performances by local and world-renowned artists. We want to thank our friends and supporters like the Alamo Dome, Visit San Antonio, The City of San Antonio, and many more who are making the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival a reality.

Yadhira Lozano, Executive Director of Luminaria, and guests unveiled the plaque for the mural "Sacrificios," which Commissioner Rebeca Clay-Flores commissioned. Our guests included art enthusiasts, artists, the press, and special guests like Jesus Toro Martinez. Isaac "Papa Bear" Cardenas, Kona of the Tap Pilam Nations, and Carmen Tafolla blessed the ceremony.

2024 LUMINARIA VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

LUMINARIA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join in the excitement of this year's outdoor festival at St. Paul Square on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Get ready for a night of fun and creativity! Volunteer shifts start at noon and continue until 2:00 a.m. Let's light up the night together!

Awesome people like you will be rockstars in action by handing out festival maps, being the VIP badge sheriffs, making sure our dressing rooms are like VIP spaces, getting visitors to spill the beans in our survey, and spreading good vibes and festival info to the crowd. Join the party as set-up and break-down volunteers for the Noon-6:00 pm and Midnight-2:00 am shifts. Let's make this festival unforgettable!

The Fresh Ink Youth Poetry Slam team is back for 2024! We are searching for creative writers, lyricists, poets, and artists aged 12-18 from the San Antonio area to represent the city at regional and national competitions. Join us, along with Fresh Ink Coaches Andrea "Vocab" Sanderson and Anthony "DJ Mr. G" Gordon, as well as special guests, for a poetry workshop, open mic, and Fresh Ink Season Launch at the Luminaria Pop-Up Gallery at 126 Gonzales in Historic St. Paul Square. This event is free and open to the public, so come out and show your support for the arts and SA youth on Saturday, July 27, from 3:00-6:00 pm!\
