Suffering from Neck or Back Pain? Gain Relief & Lose the Pain!
Dry needling is a highly-effective treatment that is used to identify and eliminate βhiddenβ sources of neuromuscular pain known as referral pain. The treatment involves identifying and stimulating these trigger points by advancing a small filament needle into the muscles being treated, eliciting a small twitch response before allowing them to enter a relaxed state. Many patients experience dramatic pain relief and improved function in just a few treatments, often with long-lasting relief. All of this is done within the privacy of your own treatment room with your highly trained Physical Therapist! Ask your PT today if this service can help compliment your treatment plan!

7 Steps To Prevent The Spread of COVID-19
*** Unspoken 8th Step: Go to your Physical Therapy Appointment! Your body and mind will thank you π***
Good Evening Stratton Family,
This evening San Antonio officials declared a new, βStay Home, Work Safe Orderβ. This order outlines a new set of restrictions that apply to our beloved city and we hope to clarify any questions you may have regarding your upcoming appointments.
Stratton Rehab remains a permitted business and is exempt from the declaration due to the services we provide the community during this crisis. Furthermore, The Secretary of Homeland recently published a memo identifying Physical Therapy as a Critical Sector and Essential to our nations infrastructure.
The health and safety of our patients is our first priority and our offices have recently made changes in order to better serve you!
At your regularly scheduled appointment we will now be performing intake screenings to include a temperature reading prior to entrance into our facility. Patients will be offered an opportunity to wait for their room to be available from the comfort of their vehicle if they choose. While long wait times have never been a concern at Stratton, we will still provide seating arrangements to accommodate social distancing guidelines. When you are brought to your private treatment room it will have been previously double sanitized for your comfort and safety. You may even see one of our wonderful techs cleaning it again several times during your visit! π Finally, all exercises will be performed in your treatment room if applicable. Check-out continues to be a place where you can quickly and easily schedule your next treatment with our friendly support staff.
We look forward to seeing you, and remain committed to your health and well-being.
***CORONAVIRUS AND OUR STRATTON COMMUNITY***
The safety and well-being of our patients and team members always comes first at Stratton Rehab.
In light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we are committed to following updates and keeping patients, team members, and communities in the Stratton Family informed and safe. Stratton is monitoring all updates from the CDC and other credible agencies related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and working alongside our hospital partners and team members to provide the best care and communication during this time. According to the CDC, the risk to the general population is low but we are using an overabundance of caution to protect the health and safety of our patients, team members, and community.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Successful completion of your plan of care is important to becoming a healthier, stronger you. Stratton clinics are open and continue to serve our patients and communities. Any closure or changes in hours will be communicated to current patients as those decisions are made.
Our team members are taking extra precautions in addition to normal protocol to maintain safe and healthy treatment environments. This includes, but is not limited to employee education on appropriate sanitization methods, proper hand hygiene, and encouragement to stay home when showing symptoms of illness.
The APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) encourages PTs, PTAs, and students to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 outbreak by following CDC guidance to minimize exposure in the clinic and practice social distancing by avoiding large social gatherings. At the same time, we know that our profession plays a crucial role in the health of our society, and there are people in our communities whose health will be significantly impacted by disruptions to care.
Patient care has always been specific to the individual, with the physical therapist assessing a person's needs relative to their goals. Thus, physical therapists have a responsibility to review CDC guidance, to understand who is at highest risk and how to best reduce exposure, and to use their professional judgment in the best interests of their patients and clients and their local communities β including rescheduling nonurgent care if that is the best approach, or making other adjustments when the risk of exposure to COVID-19 outweighs the benefits of immediate treatment.

***IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR AMAZING PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES***
Due to the recent concerns over the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, Stratton Rehab, would like to express our concern for the well-being of all our patients as well as our staff. We are actively monitoring the situation and the guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) while reinforcing best health practices and extensive cleaning procedures in our offices. At Stratton Rehab we are diligently following Standard Precautions and have added additional measures for cleanings in clinical and nonclinical areas. We will continue to see patients as scheduled.
To help in minimizing potential spread we are asking patients who fall into any of these categories to reschedule their appointment for a date three or more weeks out:
1. Any patient who has or may have been exposed to the Coronavirus.
2. Any patient with a member of their household who has or may have been exposed to the Coronavirus.
3. Any patient who is experiencing cold or flu like symptoms.
4. Any patient who has been out of the country in the last 6 weeks.
We are also asking for patients to limit the number of additional people coming to appointments. To reschedule an appointment at either location, please call our central scheduling line at (210) 828-7557. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff.
Reminder: Our offices will be open tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2020 for your appointments!
Stratton Rehabilitation Clinic is closely monitoring the evolving Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation. The safety and security of our patients and staff is our highest priority. We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines on disease prevention which fall in line with the sanitation standards we have always upheld in our clinics. Furthermore, private treatment rooms have always set us apart and we will continue to treat patients in our clean, private and restricted access exam rooms.
There are alcohol based sanitizer dispensers throughout the clinics and will keep restrooms fully stocked with tissues, soap and paper towels. We have also increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Today our staff wore pink breast cancer awareness T-shirts in honor of our sweet PT-Tech, Julia. She is currently in surgery and ongoing treatment and we are asking all of our Stratton Family and Friends to pray for her healing, recovery and support during this time.
Some of our Stratton team spent the morning volunteering at The San Antonio Food Bank.
