Our PLM family mourns the passing of Nelson Scheler. Nelson was with PLM for little over 50 years (retiring in 2011). He actually started his time with PLM at its’ original location on Jefferson by Travis Park and the St. Anthony Hotel. He quickly moved up and became Vice President of Operations where he led with professionalism, attention to details, compassion and had a keen ability to truly listen to those around him. During his tenure he worked alongside four generations of Lorings and countless generations of extraordinary team members. Nelson saw the evolution of the funeral industry changing to one involving more personalization and technology. He also saw first hand the shift from the industry being mainly male dominated to being mainly female dominated. We will be forever grateful the legacy he left not only within the walls of PLM but within each person he came across. Thank you Nelson! We will miss you!!
