Southern Bourbon Pecan Pie.
I made this very delicious chocolate chocolate cake this past weekend for a going away party at my son's work. It's a really good recipe with a very moist cake with just the right amount of frosting to cover all 3 layers. I added maraschino cherries this time just for a little variety and this addition actually made the cake even more moist. I won't use any other recipe! I have found the winning recipe!!!!!!
I love cheesecakes but this cake is a close
second to any cheesecake that I have made! The last cheesecake that I made was a new recipe that I found in the Test kichen cookbook that I found At Sam's last Christmas. It's always good to have had a recipe tested at a test kitchen already. Wouldn't you say! I don't think I will make it that often maybe only on the holidays since it was so labor intensive having to test the temperature of the center so often but all in all a great recipe. Till next cake!
Cream Brulee Cheesecake.
The best cheesecake that I 've ever tasted! The crust is a plain grahm cracker & butter mixture with added pecans which adds a nutty component to this crust. You sprinkle the top with suger after you have baked it for 6 hours at 200 degrees and you place it under the broiler for just a few minutes and it creates a caramelized layer that has a slightly caramel taste. The flavor combination and creaminess reminds me of Creme Brulee so I am calling this cheesecake a "Creme Brulee Cheesecake".
This chocolate chocolate cake is extra moist and deliscious! A surprise combination of unsweetened and semi-chocolate in this cake's frosting gives it a rich velvety taste. For you chocolate lovers out there this ones is for you!
What's the holidays without pie! Pecan pie is my all time favorite and today I made 3 different flavors including vanilla pecan, honey pecan, and just plain old pecan pie. I couldn't decide which flavor to make so I ended up making three different flavors. I think honey pecan is now my new favorite. Let us all be thankful for family, friends and pie this year!
I served this Tiramisu cake for this years Easter holiday party. Each layer of this 3 layer cake was sprinkled in a Kalua and espresso coffee mixture. I made a egg yolk custard filling and piped it into each of the layers. Then the cake was covered with a cream cheese and whipped cream frosting. It was hard to resist a second piece the cake being so light and airy with the creamy vanilla custard in the center. Yum!
This Vanilla birthday cheese cake has been decorated with stars made from cream cheese frosting sprinkled with chocolate sprinkles all over a grahm cracker crust.
This 8 inch Coconut Cream Cake was made as the first cake of the New Year 2018! It's a keeper! It was voted number one cake of 2018 by my family and clients! It has cream cheese icing under the coconut layer and is filled with a sweet cream. The 3 layer cake has a hint of coconut rum and vanilla flavoring and is very moist and crumbly. It was hard for me not to go back for seconds!
This is a Dutch Apple pie that I made for my in law Thanksgiving agathering today. To make a Dutch apple pie, you cut four vents in the top of your Apple pie and pour a 1/2 cup of cream into the vents during the last five minutes of your cook time. This was the best one yet!
