I've still got this page open to make sure I've got everyone transfered over to my Ulta schedule. Starting Monday this is the schedule for next week:

Mon: 10-4
Tues: 10-4
Weds: off
Thurs: 2-9
Fri: 10-4
Sat: 10-4
Sun: off

I'm not sure if this is my permanent schedule, yet, but they're honoring the appointments that my existing clients have prebooked. I have openings at this time and I'm available for walk-ins. The preferred method to book me is by calling the salon directly at 210-824-5031. You can also call or text me at 210-216-6472 until you get settled into my new location.

I have an announcement, everyone. I've decided to go back to work full-time. As wonderful as it's been to be on my own for the last 5 years, my babies are getting older and more independent and my hubby isn't working away from home anymore. So I've decide to focus intently on building my career and financial stability.

I'm going back to a full-time schedule with Ulta Beauty. Starting July 2nd, I'll be at The Alamo Quarry location.

You may be wondering if your prices will change. The managers and I have decided together to start me at a level where the prices most comparably reflect what I currently charge.

I really want everyone to prebook their services if at all possible so that I can make my existing clientele a priority and in truth, because I'll need all of your support make this transition successfully. You don't have to wait until I start there to make your appointments. You can get on my calendar now and I will automatically transfer your appointment to their calendar. So much fun at Ferrari Fashion Week last night! I had the honor and privilege of working with some of San Antonio's elite in hair and makeup and we did it for 4 amazing designers from Project Runway. It feels so good to be at this place in my career! I'm very humbled. Thank you, Dominic, for the opportunity! And Jax, me...you...wine...soon. 😀

Remember when we used to wear make to look more mature? Now I find that as I break out less and I'm starting to see fine lines begin, I've started ruling out heavier foundations and opting for bb creams. I'm really focusing on evening out any redness in my complexion and I use a Tarte creaseless concealer for undereye circles and spot coverage. I find that this leaves my skin fresh and glowing, whereas fuller coverage foundations look heavy, exasterbate large pores and settle into lines.

Also, as my evening moisturizer I either use a homemade coconut oil/tea tree to stave off bad bacteria and keep the ph balance of my skin in check. Or I use Nerium's Age Defying Treatment simply because I've had this skin for almost 40 years. 😉

Hey everybody. I just wanted to drop a quick note and encourage everybody to makes sure to pre-book your appointments. This is my busy season, in large part because of weddings. But I want to make sure that my regular clients get priority service. At this point my Saturdays are booked out about 3 weeks in advance. My first available Saturday is May 16th, and then after that the following 2 Saturdays are also already booked.

Keep in mind that I offer 1 or 2 evenings a week depending on the need. I may also consider throwing in a Monday here and there if necessary.

Happy Monday, everyone! As many of you know, I have two children. 15 year old Dolores, and 10 year old Ethan. Little Ethan has Autism. He was diagnosed at 2 1/2. He is an extraordinary little boy! He has a love of art and music. But one of the things I love the most about him, is that he never lets the views of others stop him from trying something new. in fact, he's almost oblivious the to opinions of others. Whether it's figuring out a song on the piano by ear, or creating a crazy cool new drawing, Ethan always pursues his interests in typical Indigo Child fashion. It's a beautiful thing to behold a mind that pure and courageous.

When Ethan was First diagnosed in 2008, we really had no knowledge of Autism. All we knew was that our son was different. He was painfully shy, a delayed walker and talker, highly dependent on his routine and very, very sweet and loving toward his mommy, daddy and sister. We gathered education and support through organizations like Any Baby Can, AACOG, and Pediatric Therapy Associates. With their help, and the help of his Developmental Pediatrician, Dr Patricia Harkins and through The Judson Independent School District. We were able to create a tight network of supportive, full-on, early intervention for him. Immediately, we got him involved in programs and therapies to push him toward his most meaningful and high functioning life. These organizations were an integral part of how far Ethan has come in the 8 years since his diagnosis.

April is Autism Awareness month and coincidentally, it is also Ethan's birth month. Help me give back to the organizations that give support to so many children and families. For the entire month of April, I will be giving haircuts to children 12 year and younger for donation only. With the help of my liaison, Alfred Chivara, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to my choice charity, Any Baby Can. www.anybabycan.org
