FSHISD May Board Meeting Livestream

Congratulations to the following students on their winning art entries in the VIA Bus Art Contest: Anavi Gonzalez, Delaney O'Neal, Thalia Sagon, Brooke Sierra, and Alexa Villanueva.

Winning student art will be featured on VIA buses and tote bags. Artworks were submitted from all over San Antonio and surrounding cities.

Twenty artworks were selected as winners and five of those selected were from our very own Cole students!!!

Martin McGrath wins KENS 5 EXCEL Award for Fort Sam Houston ISD Sarah Forgany presented Martin McGrath with the KENS 5 EXCEL Award and a $1,000 check from our partner Credit Human.

Big Updates From Cole Athletics!

Baseball

Our Cougars are in a 3-way tie with Greater Hearts Northern Oaks and Randolph for 2nd place. The tie-breaker games will be played North East ISD Sports Park on Monday April 22, 2024 beginning at 4 pm and 7 pm. We drew a bye and will automatically play the 7 pm game. We will play the winner of the 4 pm game for 2nd place.

April is the Month of the Military Child!!

Every Thursday this month, the district will 'purple up' in support of our military-connected students. Whether it's adapting to new schools, embracing frequent moves, or bravely supporting their loved ones during deployments, these kids embody resilience and sacrifice like no other.

Let's show our appreciation and love for their extraordinary spirit throughout this month and beyond. Please add a picture of your purple attire in the comments below!!

Senior Spotlight!!

We want to congratulate Cole Senior, Steven Birkner on his acceptance and scholarship to Harvard University. We are very proud of him!!

👏 Congratulations to the high school art students in both San Antonio and Houston/Gulf Coast!

🏆 Each contest had a total of 20 winners including, Top 3, scholarships, and winning artwork placed on a VIA bus and/or tote.

⭐ We were blown away by the talent from all of the submissions!

Cole Powerlifter Headed To State!

Yesterday, Cole celebrated Cougar Erick Mendoza, who is headed out to Abilene to compete at the UIL State Powerlifting Meet. We’re proud of you Erick!

We would like to invite you to our College & Career Preparation/ Teen Hiring Night on March 26th from 5:30-7:30pm. We will have informational sessions on college essays, resume writing, and interviewing skills. We will also have college and military recruiters present. This is also a Teen Hiring event. We will have several JBSA and community employers conducting on-site interviews. All students who attend will receive a free pizza lunch.

Elementary School Action!

Mr. Gomez, FSHE Principal, visited with Cougar Cub leaders this week during lunch. Students provided Mr. Gomez with feedback and suggestions for the campus.
