Well this was a new request for me. The customer asked for a crème brûlée flavored cupcake, with Tito’s Vodka edible sparkly toppers. So I found a crème brûlée macaron recipe from Pies and Tacos with the Crème Brûlée filling and French Buttercream for the filling border. So with some minor tweaking to increase the amounts for 24 cupcakes, I had a great recipe to fill my vanilla cupcakes and frost with the French buttercream. Then as a free bonus to the customer I had some extra macaron shells that weren’t perfect, so I made some of the macarons with the sugar on top the the shell that I torched so it was crispy just a normal Crème Brûlée desert as the original recipe suggested. Perfection is all I had to say about both the cupcakes and mac’s. Sorry I forgot to get a pic of the mac’s.

I'm so grateful to have been able to create another cake for Icing Smiles, Inc.! This K-pop themed cake featuring a young girl's favorite bands brought her so much happiness. Cake I made last weekend for my good friend Christina’s birthday. It is a gluten free carrot cake. Not one person thought it was gluten free, it was a huge hit. I also made some carrot cake macarons to go with, but didn’t get a picture prior to the party and the lighting there was not meant for pics 😅 Happy Birthday Christina, welcome to 50!!!!🎉🍾🥳🎂

Today I donated another birthday cake to a medically compromised child for Icing Smiles, Inc. This sweet girl wanted a Disney Frozen themed cake with Anna, Elsa and Olaf on it.

I made the top piece out of isomalt sugar after heating it up and pouring it into molds I made. Having never done this type of art medium before, it proved to be temperamental, but I did not let it get the best of me. It took several hours to create with many broken and re-made parts.

The bottom tier is almost all buttercream. The mountains are a pallet knife technique with buttercream tress that were painted after the cake was refrigerated so it was solid. The only fondant on this cake is the snowflakes, the leaves and the child’s name.

Guardians of the Galaxy! Of course it wouldn’t be complete without the Awesome Mix cassette tape 📼 to go with Starlord and his gang. Completely edible, with chocolate sphere planets that the kids could gobble up before the black sucked them in. 🌌 🪐 🌏

This is the cake I made last night for absolutely free. I am a volunteer baker for a company called Icing Smiles. They are a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. They understand that the simple things, like a birthday cake, are luxuries to a family battling illness. There goal is to create a custom cake for the ill child, or their sibling, that provides a temporary escape from worry and creates a positive memory during a difficult time. I was lucky to be selected to bake for Shelby. Her only request? She just wanted anything to do with dinosaurs. This is what I created. I unfortunately was not able to meet Shelby this morning as originally planned, but I hope she has a fantastic birthday party this afternoon! 🦖🦕🎂🎈🥳 Icing Smiles, Inc.

Pretty in Pink…So Happy I’m Thirty (S**T) birthday cake. Chocolate cake on the inside with vanilla bean buttercream frosting. Design is buttercream embroidery flowers, in different sizes alternating in three different colors of pink.
