Today marks 97 years of serving the community! 🎉💙 The Witte Museum was founded by schoolteacher and botanist Ellen Schultz Quillin, who worked with community leaders and city officials to provide her students and the City of San Antonio with access to the natural world. Following a gift from local businessman Alfred W. Witte, the museum first opened its doors on October 8, 1926. Today, the Witte stands as San Antonio’s most visited museum and provides visitors of all ages with transformative and relevant experiences in nature, science and culture. Say our names five times fast — bet you can’t! 🤣 It’s okay, the Wonder with the Witte podcast hosts couldn’t either. But they did a whole episode on us, so I guess we can forgive them. Listen to the full episode at https://bit.ly/3JM0pD2 or on any major streaming platform. – The Sauropodomorphs

Last night, the penguin and I explored the galleries. Have you all seen HOW MANY DINOSAURS are in the Witte Museum right now? We really are taking over! There are Texas dinosaurs who apparently live here, tyrannosaurs who are visiting from Australia and us, from Antarctica. That’s ❄️ cool ❄️ and all, but we need everyone to know Antarctic Dinosaurs are THE BEST… Hopefully that won’t be problematic. 👀 -Cryolophosaurus
