The Bates family opened the original Burger Boy location on N. St. Mary’s St. serving fresh, made-to-order burgers, creamy shakes, and crinkle fries to local San Antonians. Carl Bates and his family have a long history of making burgers dating back to 1947, and they know the secret to making a great tasting burger is in the quality of the ingredients.
From our humble beginnings to today, Burger Boy’s philosophy remains the same: the quality of our food is our #1 priority. We don’t cut corners! We use the freshest, highest quality ingredients to create the best tasting burger starting with 100% fresh, never frozen, lean ground beef delivered daily from a local market. Our cheese is 100% real Kraft cheese that melts beautifully on every burger. You can taste the freshness of our veggies too.
Our famous, golden crinkle fries are made from Russet Burbank potatoes straight from Idaho, and our buns are fresh, locally made, and toasted to perfection - adding a layer of soft, buttery crunch to every bite.
