FB is apparently my boss and keeps saying I haven’t posted in a while. I catered a birthday party last night and learned to embrace failure because you might just end up with something even better. The first photo is what I wanted to create. The second photo is the result. The third is how I fixed it. The retired Special Forces Veteran and his wife were thrilled. The cake flavor was strawberry lemonade.

It’s official—we’re a hit! Not a crumb left at a catered party this afternoon. And it’s wonderful to be told, “What you do with cheesecake is nothing short of magic.” We’re overjoyed!

Not officially open for business, but have been asked to cater a retirement ceremony this week for a person who has 49 years of service under his belt. We’re making plain cheesecake with lemon cookie crust and a sugar cookie cheesecake. For added deliciousness, guests will be able to choose their favorite topping: blueberry compote, strawberry compote, or dark chocolate drizzle.

We’re flirting with the idea of re-opening. If bacon is wrong, we don’t want to be right. This is a maple bourbon bacon apple pie.
