The California Department of Rehabilitation Awards MVS, Inc. with EmployABILITY Business Grant

As part of the Demand Side Employment Initiative (DSEI), the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) announced MVS, Inc. as an EmployABILITY Business Grant recipient. The EmployABILITY Business Grant provides $20,000-$200,000 in funding to California-based small- and medium-sized businesses to expand their operations by hiring individuals with disabilities.

MVS, Inc. provides essentials such as groceries and medical equipment to healthcare facilities. President/CEO Eric Goodman plans to use the funds provided by the EmployABILITY Business Grant to continue to hire individuals with disabilities, purchase accessible equipment, renovate their facility to be ADA-compliant, and implement an internship program.

“Being an EmployABILITY Champion makes me feel proud because we’ve built our whole business around caring for individuals with disabilities, and now we can be very intentional about including them in our organization as employees,” said Goodman. “It’s an extension of our mission.”

DOR will continue to announce EmployABILITY Business Grant recipients.

CEO of MVS, Inc. & Chem-Pak, Eric L. Goodman has appointed Hema Dey as Fractional Marketing Director.

As CEO and founder of Iffel International and My Healthcare Marketing, an award-winning full-service marketing firm, Dey has developed and honed SEO2Sales™, her signature proprietary method for creating data-driven online marketing strategies that effectively drive sales and growth. In addition to her work in helping businesses unlock their profit potential, Dey is an advocate for and consultant on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), working with organizations to strengthen their brand and competitive advantage through a strategic embrace of DEI principles.

Orange County business and community leader Goodman first met Dey in their shared work for the Inland Empire Regional Chamber of Commerce (IERCC), where they served as Division Leaders for Healthcare and eCommerce, respectively, and worked together on several projects in the healthcare sector. Goodman has been a lifelong advocate for people with disabilities as well as being passionately committed to the value of building relationships within the community. As part of his work to give back to the community, he serves on the boards of the MVS Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Fontana Foundation of Hope, Mountain Shadows Foundation, the CSUF Center for Leadership, Passkeys Foundation, and Team Kids.

Goodman cited the alignment of their views on the value of diversity and inclusion and Dey’s strategic marketing work in support of small and medium-sized businesses as the impetus for her appointment to the Advisory Board. “We have some other exciting announcements coming soon as we expand our businesses and offer our services to the community. Hema is going to play a key role in the expansion and helping us support others,” Goodman said.

Dey is also an accomplished speaker, infusing insight with humor in her keynote addresses “What Is Your Ingrown Toenail?,” on creating a dynamic sales and marketing growth plan, and “Get Inclusive,” on how inclusive branding, messaging, and business culture can increase revenue and fuel growth. “The time is now to bring everyone to the table with the best in products, service, and kindness. Eric and I are both aligned in creating a business ecosystem that is beneficial to our clients and stakeholders,” says Dey.

MVS, Inc. Fuels Youth Empowerment Through Partnership with Junior Achievement of Orange County & Inland Empire:

MVS, Inc. (Mountain View Services) President and CEO, Eric Goodman, has taken a significant step in supporting the education and development of local youth by providing free office space to Junior Achievement Orange County & Inland Empire (JA). The partnership, initiated in 2023, underscores MVS's commitment to community involvement and fostering youth empowerment.

Eric Goodman embarked on his volunteering journey with JA in 2023, following a connection with Burgandie Onekea, Regional VP & Executive Director, through the professional networking platform LinkedIn. Since then, Goodman has actively engaged in numerous speaking engagements at various school sites across Orange County, demonstrating his dedication to supporting educational initiatives in the region.

Recently, Burgandie Onekea communicated JA's strategic plan to expand further into the Inland Empire, coinciding with the appointment of a new IE Development Director. Upon learning of JA's need for office space, Goodman swiftly translated his thoughts into action. Expressing his excitement about the opportunity, Goodman revealed that he had long contemplated offering space in his Redlands office building to a nonprofit organization. To MVS and Goodman, this is a win-win for both MVS and the nonprofit, as they get free rent, and we get to continue to help the communities in which we serve. Goodman is very excited that it’s JA who will be housed in our building. We are thrilled to help grow their mission and the programs offered throughout both the Inland Empire and Orange County.

In response to MVS's generous contribution, Junior Achievement Orange County & Inland Empire expresses profound gratitude to MVS, Inc. and the MVS Foundation for their unwavering commitment and support. The provision of office space in MVS's Redlands, CA office building at no cost is instrumental in JA's expansion into the Inland Empire, showcasing a shared dedication to the education and development of local youth.
