Catching up with emails this evening after spending all day teaching American Red Cross CPR/First Aid classes to a couple groups of San Bernardino City Unified School District employees. Ironically, this amazing story / thank you email was sent to me. I’ve always said, if one life is saved because of our classes, it’s all been worth it!

Dear Mr, Vetere,

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for offering the CPR classes. I had the opportunity to attend the class back in March, and little did I know how valuable the skills I learned would become.

Last week, a truly life-changing moment occurred. While visiting my cousins in-laws, I unexpectedly found myself in a situation where those CPR skills were put to the test. My two-year-old cousin wandered unnoticed into the backyard and unfortunately found her way into the pool. It was a harrowing moment to stumble upon her at the bottom of the pool, but thanks to the CPR training I received, I was able to act swiftly and confidently.

Despite the panic that undoubtedly surged through me, I managed to remain calm and perform the necessary steps to revive her. It's a moment I will never forget, and I am immensely grateful for the knowledge and skills your CPR class provided me with. Without them, the outcome could have been unimaginably different.

I wanted to share this story with you as a testament to the importance of the work you do in offering these life-saving classes. Your dedication to educating individuals like myself has made a tangible difference, not just in my life, but in the lives of those around me.

Once again, thank you for providing such invaluable training. I am forever grateful.

Kind Regards,
—-
