Your WHY can, and likely will, change over the course of your career. While many people start out with a WHY that is driving them towards something, I realized that my initial WHY was driving me away from a life I didn't want. Later on, my WHY changed again to driving me towards new goals and success. If you don't know your WHY right off the bat, that's okay! Sometimes you figure it out after you've already started something great.
If you shy away from confrontation, watch this video! Confrontation is unavoidable, but there are healthy ways to deal with it when it arises. Healthy confrontation all starts with setting proper expectations.
In the face of a sluggish economy, some business owners get complacent and assume the only thing to do is to wait for clients to return. Successful entrepreneurs do the opposite.
Even if there isn’t a high demand for your product or service at the moment, it is still a great time to c***ect with clients, especially former clients. Rather than reach out with a sales pitch, I recommend using this time to express gratitude for the people who have supported your business in the past.

If you want to succeed, you need to be able to do what others are unwilling to do. Recharging and spending time with family and friends is essential, but don’t get complacent. If time is the season’s greatest gift, use it to level up your business, your leadership and your team.
As your team grows, consider these ways in which taking time to reflect can help ensure your team members’ and company’s continued growth.
How does storytelling relate to business?
A good story can evoke emotion, drawing in customers and making them curious about your product or service.
When a story is done wrong, consumers can lose interest in your product—and potentially your brand.
One way to do this well, is to demonstrate your personal c***ection to the product.
The fact that I can share my own story and how it led to the development of a product I launched, is critical.
I often hear brokers and team leaders encourage new agents to focus solely on sellers or solely on buyers. I’ve also heard them say it is better to only work in one neighborhood or only focus on a specific type of property.
I agree that specializing is important for seasoned agents. But when it comes to new agents, this can be dangerous advice. It may even be one reason why real estate has one of the lowest retention rates of any profession.
My advice to new agents is to pursue every opportunity like it’s your very last. This means keeping all doors open and embracing every opportunity that comes your way.
The more you do, the more you learn, the more people you meet, and the more likely you are to succeed. There are four key reasons why this is the case:
1. Working with buyers and sellers is part of your industry training.
2. Exposure across neighborhoods will make you more agile and competitive.
3. Plans are sometimes best broken.
4. You can’t think outside the box if you’re boxed in.

In today's market, credibility is everything for a successful business. However, establishing that credibility might seem like a challenging task amid a saturated market. This is particularly true for small businesses, which typically don't have the same capital, resources and brand recognition as larger companies.
So how can small businesses boost their credibility?
✅ Invest in your thought leadership. Share your knowledge both in and outside your industry.
✅ Be patient! Like trust, credibility won't build overnight. Stay consistent and your credibility will build over time.

Now is the time for business leaders to stay focused.
☑️ Don’t get distracted by all the hype.
☑️ Consider the lessons learned during the 2008 downturn.
☑️ Embrace a growth mindset.
Take the opportunity to level up your education, systems, and team members.
Being a great leader is about much more than making decisions and telling people what to do. In my experience, great leadership is also about having compassion for others. While it may seem counterintuitive, giving back to team members isn’t just a nice thing to do. It is a powerful catalyst for business growth.
My top four predictions for the 2023 real estate market are linked below, and yes it is going to be another interesting year.

Part of success is helping the people around you, the ones in the trenches with you, to grow and achieve their goals.

When the market shifts, you need to shift as well. Make the adjustment and look for oppoprtunities to provide extra service to your clients.
The key to building a great real estate sales system is consistent follow-up.
This doesn’t mean bombarding potential clients with random emails. It means understanding who they are, where they are in the sales funnel and what they want and need.
If you’re not adding value in your follow-up, you risk losing opportunities in the process. By contrast, if you’re sharing information that is highly relevant to your prospective clients, they will likely follow up.
The biggest challenge today is mindset. Look at what the most successful people do in times of economic stress, and do that.
