The answer is YES, they do! 🗓️ Just like your favorite food or skincare, hair products have a shelf life, too. Let's break down what you need to know:

1️⃣ Expiration Dates: Most products have a small symbol (looks like a jar with a number) on their packaging, indicating how many months the product is good for once opened. If it says 12M, it means 12 months from the day you first use it. But if your product doesn't have that, a general rule is shampoo and conditioner can last 1-2 years, while styling products usually last between 3-5 years.

2️⃣ Signs of Expiration: Pay attention to changes in smell, color, or texture. If it's funky, it's probably j***y!

3️⃣ Storage: To extend the life of your products, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

4️⃣ Consequences of Using Expired Products: Using expired products might not give you the results you desire. They can lose their effectiveness, which means your hair won't look as shiny, voluminous, or sleek as it should. In worst cases, they can cause scalp irritation, hair breakage, or color fading.Remember these are still chemicals.

Exfoliate your scalp- I use a small teasing brush or scalp scrubber to loosen up any dead skin before washing.
