It’s New Member Monday at IBEW Local 465 and today we want to welcome our newest members Tomas M Barragan and Gerardo M Beltran! Brothers Gerardo and Tomas both were just hired as Control Operations Apprentices at the Imperial Irrigation District and were proud to join the IBEW day one!

👷‍♂️⛈️ lmperial Valley IBEW Storm Soldiers ⛈️👷‍♂️
At 9:20 a.m. yesterday, it was reported that multiple transmission poles had fallen in east Holtville, near Interstate 8 by the Ormesa Generation Plants. Dozens of our IBEW 465 Union Utility Workers have been working around the clock to make emergency repairs and restore power to our communities. It appears that a possible microburst caused the damage, bringing down approximately 45 poles. Our members are currently assessing the full extent of the damage, and our dedicated crews are working diligently to make the necessary repairs. Please keep our IBEW Brothers and Sisters who are out in these dangerous conditions making repairs in your prayers. Thank you to everyone who is working around the clock to restore power to our communities.
