Ross Lake Lavender Farm

We started small with 12,000 lavender plants in the Spring of 2020. Our first commercial crop of Lavender will be early Summer 2022.

Ross lake was built in 1961 by my Grandfather Ross Daily. We built a large USA flag 190β€˜ x 100β€˜ on the hillside

Ross G. Rose & Tasha Mariner are working to make Ross Lake Lavender Farm something for all to enjoy.

Our history began in 1959 by our grandparents, Ross & Helen Daily. They bought 2,000 acres in 1959 and named it De Luz Heights. In 1961, they decided to build a lake known as Ross Lake. In 1966, they built their home and planted avocado trees. The ranch began as an avocado grove but later become lime tree grove. Grandson, Ross G. Rose, took an interest and helped with all the groves. Grandpa taught him all things water, wells, agriculture, and mostly common sense.

Our grandma, was an expert cook and homemaker. She loved gardening and flowers. Grandma had a green thumb and could grow anything! Sadly, they are no longer with us.

In early 2020, we decided to revitalize the ranch. We started small, then we got hooked and fell in love with the homestead. In April 2020, we planted 12,000 lavender plants and 7,000 floral eucalyptus.

We reworked eight existing water wells and added water storage. We decided to start making everything "pretty". Everything was 60 years old and getting tired.

We made a 100' x 150' USA flag on the side of the mountain. In 2021, we are planting a variety of proteas, leucadendrons, blue thistle and much more!

We are currently in the processing of remodeling a 5,400 square foot retail shop in Fallbrook. Most of you may remember it as the former McDonalds building located at 1050 S Main Ave. We are pleased to announce that we will be opening early 2022. The dream is in progress and often changing.

Our first U-Pick Lavender crop will be early Summer 2022!!!
