Check out this beautiful home that just hit the market! 👀

When we got the call that our sellers bought a new home and were moving back to the coast, we were curious as we sold this home for our previous sellers just three years ago.

When asked why they didn’t use their buyers agent to sell this home, this is what they said, “Your reputation and expertise in the neighborhood. Since we’ve lived here for the past three years, we’ve noticed how active you are in selling homes and how you contribute to the community.” 🧡🩵🩶

Stop by and see this beautiful single story home as it’s being held open by our team Saturday & Sunday, 7/20 & 7/21 from 1-4 PM.

For all details and photos click on link in bio and go to Homes For Sale.

Day 18 of our Tails From The Road: This was the part of our trip Deb was looking forward to the most! On the suggestion of family, we took the southern route from Tulsa to Branson and headed east. We drove through the Fayetteville/Bentonville area of Arkansas, home of Walmart. There are many adjectives to describe this part of the country… lush green trees, gorgeous bodies of water, rolling green hills, and lots of roadkill, just to name a few. We saw 8 dead armadillo on the side of the road while driving through Arkansas on our way to Branson. After seeing three dead armadillo, we began counting! We’ve never seen an armadillo and today we saw 8 dead ones! What odd creatures and odder still to see them in full rigor mortis with all fours sticking straight up in the air. We saw other road kill but not like the armadillos! Poor things! ☹️

Road: 8
Armadillo: 0

Apparently that armor isn’t as strong as they think it is! 😞

We arrived in Branson, Mo mid afternoon and rolled into the Branson Lakeside RV Park. It’s located along Lake Taneycomo near great shops and restaurants. My

After settling in, we walked to the Bass Pro Shop and then onto dinner at Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar. It was a bit touristy but a fun experience. With great affection, Dan says it was a real “dive”! 👍😜 Dan’s followed Guy for years and has watched an episode or two of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”

We walked back to the RV park along the lake to let Pepper get out some of her wriggles.

It was a glorious day of driving. Smooth highways, and the peace and tranquility we felt was salve for the soul. We truly experienced that “peaceful, easy feeling” the Eagles sing about.

Tails From The Road Day 19: Lake Taneycomo was our destination for our first full day in Branson. Thankfully all we had to do was walk right out our RV to Scotty’s Trout Dock and Marina-Lake Taneycomo for our half day excursion on the lake. We rented a pontoon boat, brought our own lunch and drinks and spent the next four hours cruising the lake and soaking in large doses of vitamin D.

Cheers to another restful day reflecting on all we have to be thankful for. As we took in the beauty of the lake, the homes built right along its banks, 🏡 people fishing, 🎣 kayaking 🚣 and boating 🚤 we were mindful of all the magnificent glory that surrounded us.

Although Lake Taneycomo is one of the great trout fishing destinations in the country, neither of us fish. The next best thing was to enjoy the cool breezes off the water in a boat with each other and with Pepper, our Beagle.

We found it interesting that the temperature at Taneycomo is about 58 degrees year-round and is stocked annually with 750,000 10-inch to 12-inch brown and rainbow trout.

Maybe Dan will pick up fishing as a hobby when he retires! 🎣

Friday, May 31, 2024 marked 30 years of educating at Park Village Elementary School! Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary! Previous principals, teachers and alumni all joined together and celebrated the enormous contribution the school has had on the community and the lives of so many! 🩵

Congratulations to all Penguin students past and present. 🐧👏👏👏

Our two youngest kids, Joel and Jessica were students in 1994 when the school opened. Joel entered as a 5th grader taught by John Goodwin and Jessica entered as a 2nd grader taught by Janet Shalinsky. Both were phenomenal teachers who are now enjoying retirement. Our entire family still thinks back on our days at with great fondness and fun memories of being a Park Village Penguin! 🩵🐧🩵

*Joel lives in Denver with his wife and three daughters.
*Jessica lives in San Elijo Hills with husband Jeff Peressini, daughter and son.

Unfortunately they were unable to attend this milestone celebration.

Dan and I were on our last day of our month long RV adventure; Tails From The Road, or we would have definitely been there to celebrate!

Thanks to our photographer and videographer from , Sam and Rob, for capturing the event. 📸🎥

The Christensenen Realty Group’s 2024 Scholarship winner is Sabrina Li! Congratulations Sabrina! She’ll be entering the University of Cambridge in the fall persuing a degree in biotechnology.

The Christensen Realty Group is committed to creating value for both our clients and our community. From sponsoring local sports teams, local schools and community events, we feel privileged to give back in ways that make our community distinctively stronger. To that end, we are excited to announce the 2024 Christensen Realty Group CHALLENGE we believe will benefit every student who applies, and a SCHOLARSHIP honoring one graduating Park Village senior with a $2,024 award that recognizes their achievements and supports their dreams for the future.

Eligible Students: Park Village graduating high school seniors.

The Challenge: As technology evolves, artificial intelligence (AI) will be a transformative force with profound implications for our culture and society. Its integration into business, medicine, and education raises questions about its impact on human values and interpersonal dynamics. How can we safeguard essential human qualities like morals, values, creativity, and relationships from becoming overshadowed by AI? Is there a risk that these qualities may be marginalized by the rapid innovation and advancement of AI? Explore the potential risks and solutions in your response.

Our scholarship committee enjoyed reading all the essays and were evaluated on the following:

1. Ability to articulate the risks and safeguards for AI integration.
2. Describe how AI is shaping your future.
3. Do you personally feel hopeful or cautious and why?
4. Please cite your sources.

The Scholarship: One student was awarded a check in the amount of $2,024 toward their future whether it be a 4 year university, a 2 year college, trade/tech school or any other endeavor.

Tails From The Road Day 20: In baseball, three strikes and you’re out ... today, we swung for the fences and whiffed!

Strike 1: we were excited to experience Branson’s most popular attraction and one of the most beloved theme parks in the country, Silver Dollar City. Well… we didn’t read up on the park’s hours and when we arrived, we found it was closed! Only on Tuesdays! ☹️ It answered why there was so much available parking! We grabbed a few photos then went on our way…

Strike 2: since we were disappointed we couldn’t experience Silver Dollar City, we decided to have lunch at Billy Gail’s that came highly recommended by a friend. , they wouldn’t allow dogs in the restaurant and it was too hot to leave Pepper in the car so no lunch at Billy Gail’s! ☹️ Most restaurants have outdoor seating and/or would allow dogs!

Strike 3: we then resorted to Yelp to find a pet friendly restaurant and decided we’d try a BBQ place nearby that said was opened. When we arrived, it was closed! 😡

We were determined not to let all that get us down so we drove back to the RV Park and left Pepper in the air conditioned RV so we could grab a bite to eat. We decided to try Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. We enjoyed Deen family recipes served family style in a quaint and soothing atmosphere. If you’d like to experience a truly southern style meal, this is the place! The fried chicken and pot roast were yummy. We ended our meal with dessert and would highly recommend the peach cobbler!!! 😋

The rest of the day was spent walking through downtown Branson and hanging at the RV park with Pepper while eating a light dinner in.

Big lesson of the day: before going to any major theme park, read up on all details! Who knew a theme park would be closed mid week??!!! 😜

We may have struck out earlier big time, but when you’re with your soulmate and the most adorable MVP (most valuable pup) in a field of dreams, it’s a home run all around!🥰🐶⚾️

Dan’s recognition as a Cultural Ambassador for Keller Williams speaks volumes about his dedication to fostering a culture of excellence among his colleagues in the workplace, and within the team at the Christensen Realty Group he’s leading. Bravo for another selfless success! That’s my guy! 👏👏👏

As we’ve been traveling through the heartland of America, we’re touched by the gratitude of the people who call this country home. Their pride and love of country is palpable. They are also a people who greatly appreciate the sacrifices of so many who fought for our freedoms. We stand with them today and are so very grateful for those who gave their lives so we may live ours! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🙏😊

Tails From The Road Day 14: We hooked up with a Realtor Dan’s family has known for years and drove around Oklahoma City and its out skirts. We saw beautiful homes and property with acreage that we’re considering. The photo of the home and pond with the fountain was on one of the properties we fell in love with in Mustang, OK. 😍🏡⛲️

Pepper was living her best life running and rolling around the vast acreage.

One of the funnest things we encountered outside of OKC in a tiny community called Cole was a herd of buffalo. 🦬 They are magnificent creatures!

Buffalo trivia: Did you know that buffalo run into a storm and cattle run away from a storm? As the storm rolls over the ridge, buffaloes will turn and charge directly into the storm. They run at the storm and by running at the storm, they run straight through it, minimizing the amount of pain, time, and frustration they experience from that storm.

***A life lesson from buffaloes! 🤔

We ended our day in Norman, where we grabbed a bite to eat and then drove through Oklahoma University. It’s such a beautiful campus. Go Sooners!

Day 12 of our Tails From The Road: We left ABQ on a brilliant, sunshiny and warm morning. After the cool, rainy and breezy weather we had for the past few days we were elated to wake to the vibrant, turquoise skies that we believe can only be found in NM.

We continued heading east on I-40, also known as old Highway 66 on our way to Amarillo, TX for the night.

Deb and her 2 brothers were born and raised in the small town of Santa Rosa, NM where her older brother, Bill, still lives. After a stunning career in the military and law enforcement in ABQ, he retired back where it all began. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see him this time through but we did a quick drive around town and Deb reminisced about her childhood in this town of maybe 3000 people.

Deb’s younger brother, Mike, lives and works in Tucumcari, NM. He and his English wife and 3 year old daughter moved there 20 years ago when he was assigned to this area as a NM State Police officer. After years in the military and then living abroad in Scotland, he moved back to the states with his young family in tow. This sleepy little town was quite a shock to his wife, Tracey! If you’ve ever driven through Santa Rosa and/or Tucumcari, you know what I’m talking about. They were once thriving communities, however, when the interstate bypassed these towns back in the 70’s, they began a slow decline in population, jobs, etc…

We stopped for lunch in Tucumcari and visited with Deb’s brother, Mike, and her Goddaughter, Emily. Emily happened to be home on leave. She’s following in her dad’s footsteps in the Air Force while she works on her nursing degree.

There’s an old song that says, “Get your kicks on Route 66”. 🎶 Well, we got our Kix on 66 today! We ate at this quaint restaurant where they allowed us to bring Pepper inside!!! It was a treat catching up with Mike and Emily and hope it won’t be long before we do it again.

I’ll post all about our time at the Big Texan RV Park and Restaurant in Amarillo later ….

Tails From The Road Day 6 🐶🐾:

First of all, I-40 outside of Kingman to Sedona was a dream! Smooth, freshly paved roads were a godsend.

Today was all about Sedona, AZ; the picturesque little town nestled amongst red mountains and evergreens. One of our friends described it as magical. It is that and more… we wanted to stop but not spend all afternoon so based on the same friend’s restaurant recommendation, we chose to peruse the many shops of the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh), and to have lunch at El Rincon Restaurant Mexicano. They have a charming and welcoming pet friendly patio perfect for relaxing on a sun-filled afternoon. Our hearts and stomachs were full as we took in the setting. Thank you, !

The village reflects the charm and mood of Old Mexico and is comprised of many shops and restaurants beneath gorgeous sycamore trees. Its beautiful architecture and meandering cobblestone walkways led us to a quaint little chapel where many a couple say, I do!”

Pepper, of course, makes friends wherever she goes and became friendly with a local Corgi named Millie. 🐾

We returned to the RV and drove about 20 miles south to Camp Verde and checked into the where Pepper quickly passed out after our afternoon jaunt. We had a restful night. We watched the movie, Great Expectations, which was a first for us. It tied in with the art walk we experienced earlier in the day. There’s a great twist at the end that neither of us expected. We’d recommend it.

More to come …

Photos from Christensen Realty Group's post 05/07/2024

Tails From the Road Day 5: we left Paso Robles for Kingman, AZ this morning. It was fairly uneventful until we hit I-40 in Barstow. The Interstate was so bumpy and loud we felt we were on one of those old wooden roller coasters from Magic Mountain. We were shake, rattle and rollin’ all the way from Barstow to Kingman. Cabinets opening and shutting, items falling out on the floor and decorative pillows rolling everywhere. Thankfully I secured the refrigerator door and nothing broke!

The fresh, rainbow eggs Josh and Lauren’s neighbor gifted us were safe and sound! Not one broken egg in the bunch🥚🌈 Oh, the messes we were spared!

We arrived at the Blake Ranch RV Park and Horse Motel and settled in for the night. Off to Sedona in the morning with more adventures from the road …

Tails from the Road Day 1: Where the adventure begins…

Long story short: we’ve rented an RV from dear friends, Kevin & Kelly Hugli, and, along with our Beagle, Pepper, we’re embarking on a month long adventure from San Diego to Branson, MO and back.

Our first stop: Paso Robles where we checked into the ! Whew, we made it without too many calls to our friends asking for help! 😊 📞

Pepper met Jack and soon became friends until his owners took off for a 4 year long journey to visit all 48 contiguous states! Now that’s an adventure! 🚐

A Wednesday Humpday post…

Happy Anniversary to us this past Saturday, January 6! We were both sick and will celebrate next week. 🥂
45 years together has definitely been a ride. Sometimes it was a smooth ride, other times it’s been full of turbulence, twists and turns.

I’m thankful for the man I chose and for Dan choosing me to go along for this ride. There were times it seemed too much but we stayed the course. I guess we really are meant for each other! ❤️❤️

Happy 45! That’s a long time! 🥰

Countdown to 50 … 🤯😲🤩
