🌟 Meet Elisa Meazzini! 🌟 Hailing from Trieste, she holds a Master of Arts in Communication Science and has been a member of the Italian Association of Journalists since 2004. With 20 years of experience as a reporter and anchor at Telequattro, Elisa also contributed to La7. Since moving to the US in 2013, she’s embraced her passion for teaching Italian as a foreign language and has been a valued ICC instructor since 2018! 🇮🇹✏️

🌟 Meet Patrizia Lissoni, another one of our incredible instructors at ICC San Diego! Hailing from Cassina de’ Pecchi near Milan, Patrizia brings a wealth of experience in Italian language and education. With degrees in Special Education and Italian language from prestigious institutions, she has taught at various colleges in California, including Pepperdine and Point Loma Nazarene University. Since joining ICC in 2021, she has been dedicated to sharing her passion for Italian culture and language. Join us in celebrating her invaluable contributions to our community! 🇮🇹✨

Meet Gabriella Pozzoli, one of our incredible instructors here at ICC San Diego! ✨ Born in Naples but with Milanese roots, Gabriella graduated from the Università degli Studi Federico II and holds a master’s in Foreign Languages and Literature. She has been sharing her love for Italian language and culture at ICC since 2009 and at UCSD since 2011. When she’s not teaching, you might find her exploring San Diego with her dog.

Italian idioms! Did you know you can describe someone being very nice with “Buono come il pane”? Literally, this saying means “good like bread,” and is most often used in connection to a person. Some people are as great as bread, really.

e.g.
Matteo è buono come il pane.
Matteo is good like bread.
[Matteo is a great guy.]

The Italian Cultural Center is excited to announce we are leasing a space for our Italian Language Classes. We have listened to our students, and we know how important in person classes are for their language learning. This Fall we are offering some classes at our new location at 2870 Fifth Avenue (Suite 203) in Bankers Hill. We hope to expand our in person offering now that we have a space!
