So great to have family visiting. Momma helped me get some framed prints ready to stock at I’ve been under the weather and low on energy, it was nice to be taken care of a bit and make it out for a couple low key outings. New art prints coming to Pangaea this weekend health permitting! Florida folks, hire my family for your framing projects! I’ll be selling prints there by the holidays as well.

Managed to overdo again and hit exhaustion. After the doctor today I headed down to put my feet in the sand and feel the water wash over my toesies. 🦶🏼The surf looked really fun but even humming birds need to rest. I’ve released a lot of emotions these past few days. The pressure of not wanting to let people down, of not being enough, not doing enough, the deep sorrow over the fire in Lahaina, having too much on my plate but still never feeling productive enough, feeling guilty for worrying about work or bills when so many places are on fire and people are in need and experiencing deep losses of loved ones. Trying to find that balance of gratitude and empathy and learning when to lean in and when to let go. The thoughts are always pulsing from subconscious to conscious in an overwhelming wave and I guess I’m trying to find and appreciate that space between the waves. I’d rather feel deeply than not at all even it means shutting down and taking an occasional three day nap.

1st stripe! I’m slowly but surely becoming gnarly. 😝 thank you and for your coaching and everyone else rolling around for putting up with me forgetting everything instantly.

Transitioned from my intro 1:1 class to the real mat. It was so hard!! The warm up alone was the gnarliest workout I’ve done in years. We had to drag each other around like wild animals bringing home our fresh kill lol. obrigada for teaching me some basics and the tumbling, I’m slightly less scared than before. Did some serious work over the weekend and completed two spreads for the book I’m working on with 🤙🏼💙so far behind on this, but it’s getting closer!!
