Legendary Spanish director Víctor Erice returns w/ his first movie in 30 years! Now playing at our Digital Gym Cinema, CLOSE YOUR EYES, is set in contemporary Madrid & follows an aging filmmaker who is called upon to recount his memories of working on his final and still unfinished film. In Spanish w/ English subtitles. Only $5 to park 3 hrs in our same bldg UC San Diego Park & Market. Tickets, trailer & daily showtimes - https://digitalgym.org/movies/close-your-eyes/

"You’ll want to hold Erice’s film tight, but much like the water pouring from a shoe you turn over after wading into the fleeting moments of wonder, it reminds us how the memories of life’s beautiful mundanities can all too easily slip through our fingers." - Collider

Over three decades after the release of his previous film, revered Spanish auteur Víctor Erice (The Spirit of the Beehive, El Sur, and Dream of Light) returns with a “poignant cinematic swan song” (). A reflective culmination of Erice’s career in film, Close Your Eyes is a haunting meditation on memory, absence, and the enduring resonance of the moving image.
