On this episode of Member Monday, we’re shining the spotlight on Steve Gale from Imagination Entertainment! 🌟

We asked Steve a few icebreaker questions. Here are his answers:

Why did you join ILEA? 🤝
“We wanted to reach out to the events community through ILEA to grow our business and relationship with other industry professionals. ILEA has a great community and we wanted to be a part of it.”

What is your favorite thing about live events? 🎉
“The constant change in entertainment, events, and themes while bringing unique opportunities to the guests.”

Who do you work for? (or highlight a service your company offers) 💼
“Amy Gale and I own Imagination Entertainment and have been in San Diego since 2000, working for many corporate partners. Our company specializes in shows such as ‘On Broadway’, ‘Songs of the Cinema’, and ‘Flashback’, as well as offering the highest quality Cirque-style performers and characters.”

A fun fact about you? 🤸‍♂️
“I did acrobatics for 28 years and created ‘Cirque De La Mer’ for SeaWorld, which ran for 19 years.”

Favorite spot in San Diego? 🌄
“My home! But outside of that, Torrey Pines Natural Reserve is a beautiful place to hike.”

What brought you to events? 🎭
“I have been in entertainment since 1994 and initially sold myself as an acrobatic performer in the event industry. Imagination Entertainment was one of the companies that hired me as a performer and acrobatic rigger throughout my performing career. In 2019, Amy Gale and I took over the company from Sam Trego and have had great success over the past five years as owners. We’ve traveled with our shows to many countries, including South Korea, Lebanon, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Greece, and many more. We stay in the event industry because we love creating unique entertainment and offering many unique experiences.”

Who do I work for?
I am a professional magician and have been performing magic since I was six years old!
I grew up in Cardiff-by-the-Sea and have performed magic all over the world for top corporations, weddings, casinos, cruise ships, festivals and on camera for countless TV shows.
I specialize in interactive strolling / close-up magic, which I love to do at cocktail hours and I also offer stage shows as well.

Favorite Spot in San Diego?
I love to surf at Beacons in Leucadia. Nothing brings me more joy than paddling out and catching a wave!

A fun fact about me?
I’m about to become a dad!!!! We are welcoming a baby boy in June of 2024!
