Before the tournament began, D33 hosted an All-Star ceremony event on 6/15, where players showed their skills. Our very own, Weslee Hobday took 2nd in the home run derby! CONGRATS WES!

KMLL Express advances to final four to take on San Carlos Grizzles once again today. We are so proud of these kiddos- GO EXPRESS!

Game starts at 6pm hosted at Murphy Canyon LL fields: 4503 Damato St, San Diego CA.

And they did it again… Express defeated San Carlos yesterday 7:5- it was a nail bitter!

Express will advance to face Lake Murray Minors on Monday, June 3 @ 5pm hosted at Mission Trails LL 6455 Lake Badin Ave.

Kearny Mesa LL Express Triumphs Over MTLL Raging Chihuahuas In Late-Game Victory! Express won their first game of the D33 TOC vs Mission Trails yesterday, May 28th moving them forward to face San Carlos today, May 29th.

Mark your calendars - Closing Day Celebration - May 18th

Only ONE Saturday left of our Spring Ball season! Closing Day Ceremony for Kearny Mesa Little League is scheduled for Saturday, May 18th. This is when we will have our Award Presentations along with a fun-filled day of baseball, family, and friends!

The Closing Day Ceremony will start around 12:00 PM or after the last game has ended*.

We could use all the extra help to make this celebration a success for our players; even an hour will go along way to help set up, tear down, snack shack, monitor bounce houses, etc., please use our sign-up genius or contact Lauren, [email protected].

Closing Day Schedule of Events:

9:30 AM - Express vs Diamonds (Majors Field)

10:30 AM - CAPS Moms vs Kids Game (Caps Field)
- Rookies vs TBall (TBall field)
- Snack Shack Open

12:00 PM - Ceremony (between Majors and Minors field near snack shack)
-Color Guard
-Welcome Address
-Little League Oath
-Parade of Teams
-Team Trophies

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
- Baseball Events - TBD will be played at the Majors field (based on age).
- Celebration Activities include a Bounce House, photo booth, Face Paint, DJ with music, Team Basket Auction, and Carnival-style games.

Trophies -- After our Welcome Address, our Coach Coordinator, Melody, will call each team up to receive their trophies. While Melody calls each of the players' names, coaches will pass out the trophies and then have time to take a team picture together. Get your cameras ready!

Volunteers - In order for this event to be safe and successful, we need our own league to step up and help with Snack Shack, Carnival Style games, Prize booth, Bounce houses and Team Basket table.

The Snack Shack will be open for Closing Day to serve food, snacks, and drinks. Special of the day is a $3 pulled pork sandwich! Thank you Arianne and Silver for all your hard work this season to give us the best Snack Shack in San Diego!

Team Baskets - Get ready for the bidding wars! This year we will have the following themes:
-Ultimate Fan
-Fun in the Sun
-Stay Caffeinated
-Padres Summer Fun

Carnival Style Games -- Each player will receive 10 carnival tickets to use for various games and activities. Additional carnival tickets can be purchased for 25¢ each or 25 for $5.

Tonight was an amazing evening watching one of the greatest baseball movies with friends on the Kearny Mesa field ⚾️💚. It’s a sliding into home kinda day! KMLL Minors played Tierrasanta at home and away while our Teeball and Rookies played each other. It was a beautiful Saturday to watch a game, eat a cheeseburger, and root for our kiddos. GO KEARNY! 💚🩶⚾️

PICTURE DAY - Mark your calendars! KMLL Picture Day is scheduled for Sunday, April 7, 2024.

You can find your team and time on our website here. Reach out to your coaches and team parent with any questions.

Players need to wear their uniforms and bring their favorite glove and bat for use in the pictures, (the photographers will not provide these items). The league will provide a (1) memory mate (cardboard frame with an individual photo and team photo insert), (4) wallets, and (1) button. Additional items can be purchased separately.

KEARNY MESA -- you showed up today! What an amazing Opening Day despite the rain - we made it happen 🥳A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our field crew for finding a way around Mother Nature and making it possible for our players to play! This was another testimony of our small but MIGHTY league - Kicking off our spring ball with hard work from our community of selfless volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to make the magic happen on the fields. 🤩

Today's celebration is about Baseball. Through practice and games, these kiddos are going to learn how to throw, catch, hit, and run and most of all about sportsmanship, fair play, respect, and doing their best. These lessons will stay with them for years to come! 🧢💚

Thank you for showing up today and best of luck to our little league players this season -- GO KEARNY!!!⚾
