My calendar says it’s been five years for these two and then this photo came on my memories, so happy anniversary you guys!

This California girl had no idea the midwest was this pretty 🌄

I don’t know about you but I’ve always had this idea in my head of what artists do all day… it usually looks something along the lines of: * coffee, artistic pursuit, hike, yoga, journal, making fresh granola, etc*

Yet I know this to be false because I’m an artist, and what you would assume I’m doing is: *coffee, emails, editing, photographing, writing contracts, driving kids, making dinner, marketing*

And what I’m actually doing: * water, emails, Instagram, driving kids, filling out school paperwork, going to orthodontist appointments, cleaning up dog messes, putting out fires, writing lists, checking off lists, moving the stuff that didn’t get done yesterday to today’s list… loving on kids, scrambling for dinner, thinking I should go to bed, editing, editing, editing*

What are you up to?

Because, well, this was supposed to be part of their sneak peek; it was missed but I just can’t go another day without sharing this classic.

At the airport after five days in Minnesota with these favorite people of mine. and , I was so glad to be there for every beautiful, tiring, wet, heartwarming, funny moment of it!!
