“Going into college last year as a first years, we felt nervous and found it hard to make long and meaningful relationships with people. However, Chidelts has given us the opportunity to form friendships that we can genuinely say will last a lifetime. Why Chi Delts?
“Coming fresh into college, I was quite lost in terms of finding a like-minded community that both embodies the morals I stood for while having a diversity of strong individuals, in which I, and they, could build and grow off one another. However, when discovering Chi Delta Theta and its focus upon topics that often go unspoken - Asian American mental health as well as gender and sexual inclusiveness (especially within the Asian American community), I just knew I had to give Chidelts a try. When I came out for expansion rush, I found myself in a safe haven of different, yet empowering individuals in which I could both expressively be myself and potentially see myself growing from.
So, if you're debating on rushing, I would say give it a try! I was also once in the shoes of a rushee, but I am beyond glad I gathered the courage to put myself out there to try out this community, which now became my forever home!”
