I focus on hitting my protein daily and lifting as heavy as I can. I still do cardio but itโ€™s not my main focus.

Just getting in steps daily and moving.

I cook most my food at home and I drink tons of water.
I found a happy balance between lifting, eating, and going out with friends.

6 Things I Wish I Knew Before Working Out

1. You NEED TO EAT food to gain muscle. You cannot starve yourself. You will just be โ€œSkinny Fatโ€ with no muscle, no ass, or shape ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

2. Cardio does not make you lose body fat. It should just be an assistant. But the main focus should be eating protein and lifting HEAVY ASF to build more muscle and lose body fat. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

3. The scale DOES NOT MATTER. It only tells 1/4 of the story. It can tell you how much body fat you lost, how much muscle youโ€™ve grown, and how much more energy you have now! โ˜บ๏ธ

4. Your favorite fitness influencer probably got liposuction, butt lift, or their abs done (yes they can do that?!). Research the people you follow and make sure they are being honest on how they achieve their looks. Itโ€™s okay to do surgeries if thatโ€™s what you like. But they should be honest if they did or not. Why listen to someone who didnโ€™t even get their body naturally ๐Ÿ™„

5. You can eat out with friends and loved ones. You just need to follow the 80/20 rule. Try your best to eat Whole Foods and hit your protein daily. And if you go out to eat 1x a week it wonโ€™t be the end of the world ๐Ÿ’œ

6. Focus on your own journey and your own timeline. Everyone has different bodies, home life, jobs, etc. Canโ€™t compare your journey to anyone elseโ€™s because theyโ€™re not you. Focus on you โœจ
