We had the privilege of joining other compassionate individuals and organizations at the annual ALS Fiesta charity event to raise awareness and funds for ALS research and support services.

The evening at Valley View Casino & Hotel was truly special, filled with inspiring stories from those bravely battling ALS and opportunities to connect with others who share our commitment to this important cause. To learn more about ALS, please reach out to The ALS Association of San Diego.

The B.H. Gold team had an amazing time at the San Diego Padres game.⚾️🏟️ It was a perfect opportunity to bond, enjoy some exciting baseball, savor delicious food, and cheer for our favorite team. The energy, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments made it a night to remember.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and moments of reflection. As this year comes to a close, we are grateful for the privilege of serving you. We celebrated our annual office Christmas party at Mister A's Restaurant (with perfect San Diego weather!) and exchanged Secret Santa gifts via a recent Zoom meeting.

What did you do last night? BH Gold was kicking off summer with an evening cruise on San Diego Bay in true Tiki Fashion! With employees who have been together from 5 to 36 years, this was the perfect way to gather and celebrate their accomplishments personal and professional. Our team has been working hard to overcome the challenging insurance market, all the while there have been weddings, big life changes and family happenings. We appreciate the time they devote to our clients, so we celebrated with food, drinks (Tiki drinks of course!) and taking an evening break from the office to enjoy our beautiful city. Thank you Tiki Time Bay Tours for a spectacular night!

We're a proud sponsor of the charity Oncology And Kids (OAK) and Saturday was their first annual "Hero's 5K" at Liberty Station. OAK is near and dear to our hearts as their mission is supporting children and families impacted by cancer. Our B.H. Gold group raised over $4,600 and OAK is only $700 shy of their goal if you would like to make any size donation to a fantastic charity. Erin from our commercial department shares her experience from a recent San Diego charity event:

I had the honor and the privilege of attending Oncology And Kids (OAK) Stories from the Campfire fundraiser Friday night. Their goal was to raise $50,000 and they beat that at $104,000 which is fantastic! This money sends kids and families dealing with cancer to camp for free. As most people know having cancer is a horrendous experience, so any chance to give kids and families a chance to feel normal again, even just for a few days, and go to camp and have marshmallow fights, and be silly and be around people that are going through the same thing as you and your family is an amazing opportunity.

Thank you to my B.H. Gold Insurance Agency family for helping OAK reach their goal!! You should have seen the paddles going up to match our donation! Truly an exciting and fun experience to watch!!!

It was time for another B.H. Gold "Team building" weekend so we headed North to the Temecula wine country. Venues included the Ponte Vineyard Inn, Ponte Winery & Restaurant, Temecula Wine Country, Wilson Creek Winery, Maurice Car'rie Winery and the Somerset Winery. A shout out to Holly at Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours for her amazing service.

Congratulations to Teri Bane on her 35th work anniversary today. We are so proud and blessed to have you as part of our B.H. Gold family. Teri then and now!!!

It seems like forever since we posted an update. Our office continues doing our best to stay safe while keeping busy servicing our clients old and new! While 2021 seems to have flown by, our entire staff remains committed to our charitable contributions via automatic payroll deduction. We have said it before but the power of a little given by many really adds up. This year we ended up with a total of $5,482.50 donated by BH Gold Staff, which is generously matched by Bill and Matt Habeger (the guys that put the BH in BH Gold😀) which totaled $10,965.00 available to donate!

This year we decided to donate to the San Diego Food Bank and as luck would have it, Price Philanthropies and the Barbara Ann Steel Foundation are offering a generous dollar for dollar matching during the month of November. The total value of our donation was $21,930.00!!! And that works out to be 109,650 meals for families impacted by food insecurity right here in San Diego according to our friends at the food bank.

Even in these interesting times, we find there is so much to be thankful for - we wish you all a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Aloha - Today our crew was treated to an amazing hour of delicious brew via our very own virtual coffee tasting event with Pacific Coffee Research based in Hawaii. It was the perfect mid-morning pick me up complete with 4 regional samples from the Aloha State and topped off with insightful guidance from our incredible PCR hosts. Another great virtual zoom team event with many helpful takeaways on how to get your own perfect cup of joe at home!
