This session was so sweet for a couple reasons!

This little guys grandma passed away just before he was born. 🥺 She loved to paint and had gifted so much of her artwork to the people she loved throughout her lifetime. 🎨💜

So, when his Mama asked if there was a way we could honor her in these photos, I knew we HAD to include her work!

This darling fam came out for mini sessions this last fall and we hit it off asap!
•
They shared that they were expecting baby boy #3 and almost immediately following their session, we planned their maternity and newborn sessions for this spring! I literally can’t wait to document their journey to a family of five this year! 🥹🤗🎉😭

Honestly, growing alongside my families is my absolute FAVORITE part of being a photographer. Photography is so much more than taking pictures to me - it’s about creating relationships and friendships and celebrating life’s best moments WITH them over the years.

Being able to not only grow with families, but document their growth along the way is such an honor to me and makes my heart SO full! 🥹😭🥰🎉♥️

So many memories were made with SO many families; my heart (and calendar) was bursting at the seams with how full it was!

Because of this, I haven’t been the best at keeping up to date on posting to Facebook… So, over the course of the next few weeks, I will be sharing some of my favorite work from this past busy season!! 😍🥰

Now, story time:
This session will be one I remember for a long time!!
•
We showed up to our session location just to find out that it had been closed down…. 😰
•
In a ‘slight’ panic and a hurry, I brought us over to a spot that was close enough to us to where we didn’t waste too much time (since we were racing the sun at that point) - but, I hadn’t taken photos there in at least 7 or so years….
•
So I crossed my fingers and said a prayer and…
•
Not only did it turn out to be one of my favorite sessions of the whole season, but one of my most favorite locations that I have used a multitude of times since.
•
Sometimes, things don’t work out so that better things do and this was a prime example of that. 💜
•

Today, marks the first shoot of 2024; my “winter break” is officially over and I’m back to the grind!! 🎉

But, before I got back to it I wanted to share some photos of my own family that I had not yet shared from last year.

Some fun facts:
1. I did not bring my remote for these photos. You should have seen me running back and forth across the beach to make it in time for the timer. 😂
2. My sister is wheelchair bound. This beach was located right behind our condo. We brought a kitchen travel chair out to the beach and my dad and husband carried her down to sit on the regular chair with us! 💜
3. My dad took the photo of my husband, daughter and I!! 🥹
