Get ready to be moved to the core! A native of Bahia, Brazil, Vânia Amaral is an Iyalirisa of the Ile Ase Kalè Bokun house of Candomblé. She has had an extensive career as a dancer and singer with the premier folkloric companies in Brasil. She continues singing and speaking at religious and social events. Vania has toured with Vivier Brazil, Aguas de Bahia, Ballet Folklorico do Brasil along with teaching master classes in dances and songs of the Orixas from cultural centers to universities throughout the US. This class will introduce the traditional method in which Candomble members learn the revered dances of the Orixas
