We are excited to announce an upcoming masterclass with Vania! A native of Bahia, Brazil, Vânia Amaral is an Iyalorisa of the Ile Ase Kalè Bokun house of Candomblé. She has had an extensive career as a dancer and singer with the premier folkloric companies in Brasil. Vania has toured with Vivier Brazil, Aguas de Bahia, Ballet Folklorico do Brasil along with teaching master classes in dances and songs of the Orixas from cultural centers to universities throughout the US. This class will introduce the traditional method in which Candomble members learn the revered dances of the Orixas.

World Music Recording Artist Indio Jackson was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and began his artistic career at age 15, by mixing elements of Afro-Brazilian Percussion and Capoeira.
An extraordinarily versatile artist and multi instrumentalist, he appeared on Telemundo and Univision. In 2014 Indio was invited to be part of the World Cup Official Music Video "We are One" by Pitbull, J.Lo and Claudia Leitte. I’m his 30-year career, he also performed alongside
Ricky Martin, Don Omar, Marc Anthony, Maluma, Elvis Crespo, Alejandro Sanz, Jesse & Joy, Debi Nova, Wisin, Carlinhos Brown, Timbalada, Daniela Mercury & Bragaboys.
Soooo elated!!! We just finished the parade in Ocean Beach, and the energy was through the roof❤️❤️❤️. Thank you so much, dancers and drummers!

‘The Temptress and the Tiger’. Oil on canvas by the brilliant artist and a long-time friend Stacy D’Aguiar of ❤️. I’m in awe of this piece! I posed for this work and couldn’t imagine where the artist would take it! Stacy is incredibly skilled but her inner vision is what gives her work a truly unique flair. I love all the symbolism❤️ and I’m eternally flattered!

About last night! SDSU hosted a cultural night of incredible performances, and we were honored to participate. This was our first show together as a new team, but definitely not the first performance😄Love my fam!
Rehearsing parade coming up this weekend in Imperial Beach. Simple and fun moves for mixed-level students. Testing out some costumes while we’re at it! This is gonna be a blast! Go !
