Did you know…
Dessert Is The Word was founded on Halloween Day in 2014.

Going through the process of elimination with food allergies, it was apparent that most of the desserts I loved so much, for so long, were going to be out of the question. Rather than call it defeat, I started to play with recipes, learn new ways to make things I enjoyed, and found some new delicious treats along the way.

But my passion for dessert didn’t stop there. I knew that others out there couldn’t enjoy desserts for different reasons, too — be it diet restrictions, or allergies to specific things. I vowed to make dessert available for everyone. It took a few years, but I made good on my promise. Last season was the most
Successful Dessert Is The Word season yet, and I am determined to make this one even better!

When you buy from Dessert Is The Word, you’re not only helping me achieve my goals and live out my dreams, but you’re helping me expand to broader horizons. This is just a small business that is barely a dot on any map, but it’s owned an operated by an empowered female, who is also a special needs adult (Autism & ADHD). My goal is to one day be able to partner with organizations who see eye-to-eye fairly with others like me, who strive to help the special needs community, and help inspire and motivate those that are special needs, but also dreamers, just like myself.

So while you enjoy the desserts that I make, I want you to remember that you’re helping more than just my own little cause and family. You’re helping me help others, too. And that’s how we make a difference. We change the world together… one peanut buttter cup at a time.

Valentine’s Day order that was made for pickup!
-Yippy Dipped Pretzels; 12 with milk chocolate and crushed peanuts, 12 with milk chocolate and Valentine’s Day sprinkles
-Yippy Dipped Grahams; 7 with dark chocolate and graham crumbs, 7 with dark chocolate and Valentine’s Day Sprinkles
-Heart-Shaped Chocolate Cake, white whipped center with strawberries, and strawberry whipped cream, topped with chocolate cake crumbs, and fresh strawberries added to the side

Working hard on a better recipe for the Almost Famous Chocolates that are mixed with fruit. The preserves weren’t working the way I’d hoped, so it’s back to the drawing board.

New products that will take the place of those:
-Almost Famous Candy Bars with Fruit Preserves (your choice of chocolate, your choice of fruit flavour, and a nice crisp layer or 2 of wafers, all put together as a candy bar)

Also working on granola bars! A healthier option for those who don’t always want candy, but still want something sweet. Ingredients will be organic, with no preservatives.
