The biggest mistake that people will make with their exercise & fitness goals in 2024 is not creating a written plan that is actionable and sustainable.

If you're going to start a daily or multi-day per week habit then be realistic with your level of MOTIVATION, assess your SCHEDULE & ability to manage time and your BUDGET.
One of my fitness goals for this year is to exercise every day especially on the weekends but obviously I cannot go hard everyday as I will burn out and get exhausted and not have much energy for other important people and work so like in this video I did light shadow boxing, martial arts drills, sharpen fundamentals, and stretching outdoors barefooted and barehanded to ground, connect with the soil, minerals, ion balance? get Vitamin D from the sun, and open up my lungs a bit.

Do the simple work daily. Don't stop. Keep going. Get up and get your reps in!

In 2024 you can be PERFECT or IMPERFECT and still achieve your goals.
What matters is that you take action daily & weekly, moving with a purpose, and being intentional with your habits to produce results.
"To achieve what you have never achieved before, you must do what you have never done before."
Today is the day that you start a new program, commit to following it day by day for 30 days - 60 days - 90 days - 365 days, work the system, get structured, schedule every meaningful action by the minute of each day, set up your day and week in such a way that when you look back at what you did today, yesterday and the past week you are happy, proud and feel accomplished.

Reflecting back at these progress photos for the last 7 years (2016-2023) of fluctuating from 151lbs to 142lbs and finally bulking up to 157lbs from top left to bottom right, I am happy with how I've progressed in imperfect circumstances. Today I am the closest I have ever been to achieving 160-165lbs bodyweight, lean with abs, while working to match all my PRs simultaneously weekly.

Leg Day Warm Up

This is a great and thorough dynamic warm up with mobility work to prepare yourself for a leg day workout or it can be entirely a beginner level workout if you're just starting or getting back into fitness.

Aerobic Warm Up: 30 sec each, no rest.

Mobility Warm Up: 10 reps each, no rest.

"Wait until you have a kid then you won't have time to workout anymore."

"Wait until your 40 then you won't be doing all that."

"Wait until your joints and back start hurting."

These are the excuses I would hear from parents older than I was when I was in my 20s and 30s. My response would always be:

"You can either make up excuses to not do the right thing OR make up REASONS & a POWERFUL PURPOSE to do the right thing for your health and fitness so you can show up in life at your very best."

If you're already getting older and having more aches and pains from not exercising effectively then it will only get worse as you continue to wait to do anything about it.

Eating healthy and exercising effectively are life skills that are essential for all human beings. Every part of our body from our eyes, head, brain, limbs, organs, muscles, beating heart, breathing lungs and skin are made up from the raw materials we eat from food. We are literally what we eat. So if you have health problems then start with what deficiencies you have with food.

The adult human body has up to 600 muscles and 206 bones that are meant for movement. As cliché as it may sound but if you don't use them then you will lose them. Your body is always in a state of survival and allocating resources to parts of your body that demand more and will take away resources from areas that demand little. Your muscles will literally die and atrophy within 2-4 weeks if you don't use it. This is why I always train myself and my clients 2-7 days/week to move in a variety of ways in order to stimulate muscle growth, maintain healthy joints, tendons, ligaments and mobility.

Eat healthy and exercise effectively so you get better as you get older.

Fuel yourself with 1-ingredient whole foods and train for strength, endurance, mobility, flexibility and perfect technique and posture so you have the energy and stamina to play with your children and you don't have to try to keep up with them and instead they have to keep up with you.

Weight loss best of 53.2 Lbs! I want to give a big congratulations to Stanley Stan "The Man", Spartan Stan and The Struggles Stan because he truly went outside his comfort zone in order to get into his Achievement Zone and it did indeed require some struggle but he has grown from it immensely and has matured in his health, mindset, and motivation.
I wish you the best of luck and God bless as you begin your military career with the United States Air Force. I am glad to have played a role in helping you get physically and mentally ready for this outstanding choice to serve your country and grow as a man. Stay ready!

I woke up congested and felt like crap so I went to work then dragged my ass to my training session thinking I'll just go easy as needed but it was sparring day and an eager taller and bigger high schooler wanted to partner up with me and started going harder than I would like. Short story even shorter, I went hard, we had a great training session and feel better now. Need to drown myself in an ice bath 😄🤣😵‍💫

One of my favorite & simple no-guilt pleasures.

🍔 Protein Burgers 🍔
-Angus Burger Grilled or Air fried (8 min, flip halfway for medium rare-medium)
-Romaine lettuce
-Red onions (grilled or raw)
-Pickles
-Hot House Tomato
-Banana peppers
- sauce: Primal Kitchen Avocado Mayo + Sweet relish + Primal Kitchen Ketchup (1:1:1 ratio).
-Sweet potato fries (air fried, preheat 400*F, 12-15 minutes evenly placed flat).

"My best bulking effort so far. Gained a steady 10.8lbs of both fat & muscle in 12 months plus I got a bit stronger while setting a few PRs along the way & maintaining around 85-90% of the others. It wasn't perfect but I'm definitely happy with how well proportioned the weight distributed throughout my body especially my legs and butt as I wanted to have a stronger base & foundation athletically especially for martial arts."

It definitely takes patience & persistence to gain weight naturally without steroids or PEDs and without losing too much definition. Gaining weight too fast will mostly be fat as eating too much of a calorie surplus especially blood sugar spiking foods (FBADS & "dirty bulk") will be stored predominantly as fat. It takes a combination of a Structured Fitness Program, Nutrition Plan, knowing your RMR/BMR, macronutrient & calorie needs, smart, safe & effective progressive overload, progress tracking, & following these programs CONSISTENTLY OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME in order to achieve lasting fitness, physique & health goals.

Now I am 2.5 weeks into my cut in order to show more definition while maintaining my size above 150lbs.

First 2-a-day workouts of 2023 and I feel good. 🏋‍♂️🥋 1/25/23 is the first time I've ever been "overweight" and have high body fat with a WT=156.8, BMI=25.6, Body Fat=22.8% & Muscle Mass=37.5%. It feels good being bigger and stronger and filling out my clothes in the right places but I'll be honest that I'm not as agile as I'd like and I feel more sluggish with the additional fat & muscle weight (mostly fat).

Today my WT=155.6, BMI=25.5, Body Fat=22.2% & Muscle Mass=38.0%, slight improvement in the last 35 days and I'm getting back more of my athleticism & agility while working to maintain my strength level and size. CLEAN BULKING is difficult but it is far more superior, healthier & sustainable in the short & long term without the big risk of developing eating disorders caused by a rollercoaster diet & completely losing abs & any sort of definition as with a DIRTY BULK.

Let's see how the next month goes as I work to get more shredded.

When you stay ready, you don't ever have to get ready.

Far too often I see people say "I have to get fit for the summer, I have to fit into my wedding dress, I want to start getting in shape for the New Year..." but that kind of thinking is flawed unless you prefer a yo-yo type of health, body, and performance where you look OK then look like a beat up can of biscuits then OK again.

DECIDING right NOW that "I WILL" COMMIT to a LIFELONG LIFESTYLE will increase your success and build the habits that will make you look amazing, feel amazing, and do more things physically and mentally than you thought you could ever do.

I WILL take personal responsibility for every thing I decide to eat.
I WILL have high standards.
I WILL exercise daily no matter how much or little time I have.
I WILL hold myself accountable and surround myself with others who are ahead of where I am now.
I WILL carry and drink my 64 or 128-oz water bottle everywhere I go.
I WILL always be summer, wedding, and photoshoot ready.

We cannot control the passing of time however we can control the quality with which time passes by doing what enriches our lives to better our health, strength, physique, skills, intelligence, career and finances.
I'm proud of this young woman who started training with us in 2018 immediately after graduating college, became a coachable student of fitness & nutrition and executed virtually every step and plan of our CrazyFIT Program and her results show with her strength & muscle gains and more.
She remains consistent & constant through working full-time and now pursuing higher education.
Great work for "getting it together"!
Nothing is perfect and nothing worth having is easy but we can always get better and get the results we work for.

Don't stop when you're tired, stop when you're done.

Last round of a 4 station circuit, 4 rounds of 1-minute/15s rest, 100-lb grappling dummy over the shoulder throw. I did 40x13 in 1st round, 100x4 2nd, 100x5 3rd then the weak-minded voice in my head tried to fool me by saying "4 is good, you're tired, just drop set to the 40" then I said "f*ck that! I did 5 the last round, I'm beating my best round!" I did 6 on my 4th and last.

It is at our most fatigue, tired, and vulnerable that we must dig deeper and unleash our strongest self and we can only find that version of ourselves through meaningful challenges that promotes growth and development.

Are you consciously free and in control of your own actions and freedoms? Or are you being controlled by unconscious or subconscious habits?

What I have found working nearly 15 years as a Fitness Trainer and Health Coach with clients young and old, in the civilian and military sectors, and families from all ethnicities, is that most people behave simply according to their environment rather than what is best for their health. The common phrases "that's how we've 'always' done it" "that's how my parents raised us" "that's a part of my culture" comes along.

In regards to healthy eating habits and being active daily, it is detrimental to your health if your model for eating is filled with sugar, unhealthy fats/oils, and processed foods and lacking in a variety of nutrient dense vegetables, good fat sources, fiber, lean quality proteins and some fruits.

If your mindset is "I can't stop eating tortillas or control myself" then you won't.
If you say "I love food too much!" Then your unhealthy obsession with food for pleasure and entertainment rather than fuel and function will continue to have control over your habits, health, waistline, dress size, pant size, sleep quality or lack thereof, stress, anxiety, and confidence.

The moment clients make the mindset switch of being 100% responsible and in control of their food choices and everything that has happened to their health and body did not happen to them, it happened because of them is the moment actions follow the mindset and transform the body for the better.

You are not stuck.
You are not forced to eat an unhealthy way because of your culture, childhood, or circle of negative influence.
You are trapped and imprisoned by your own choices and what you believe but you also have the key to unlock yourself and gain freedom.

Discipline is obeying a code of behavior and punishing yourself for disobedience.

Unfortunately your current code of behavior of eating junk and processed foods, excess sugar, and alcohol and lack of exercise are serving you no purpose and you are actually punished for following this code of behavior with obesity, ⬇️CONTINUE IN COMMENTS⬇️

Miso Soup w/ Edamame Noodles & Cage free brown egg.

Ingredients:
1. Miso soup mix
2. Edamame spaghetti 100g 43gP-7gF-35gC
3. Organic cage free brown egg-1
4. Handful Power Greens (spinach, baby kale, chard)

Directions:
1. Bring water to boil.
2. Add miso soup mix.
3. Add edamame spaghetti.
4. Add egg. Turn off heat & mix.
5. Add power greens, mix for 30 seconds, let sit for 3 minutes then serve in a deep bowl & enjoy.

🧘‍♂️BALANCE & MOBILITY🤸‍♂️
Bodyweight exercises, unilateral movements, unstable surface training, and mobility exercises must be prioritized first before doing weight training and progressing in weights.
🤔If you have poor balance doing a bodyweight squat then adding weights will increase your chances for injury and worsen imbalances in your body i.e. using one side of your body far more than the other.
🤔If you have poor mobility and range of motion in your squat then adding weights will only worsen your posture and technique and again can lead to injuries like pulled muscles or strains especially for the low back as your glutes and quads may not be properly activated because of either tight hip flexors, hamstrings, or erector spinae.
👍If you are a beginner in fitness, just getting back into fitness or recovering from an injury then start with entirely or mostly bodyweight exercises and focus on perfect form, posture and mobility (full range of a muscle and joint). Only advance to weights or only increase the weights when you have achieved perfect form and mobility.
👍Train smarter then harder.

I met this wonderful soul, exactly 3 years ago this month as we wrapped up our 5th project working together this past Sunday with .hovhannisyan_official .meni and many more.
She is a true professional, Director/Producer, a kind soul, and she is Armenian and since our meeting I have gotten the opportunity to learn a bit about her culture, met and worked with more Armenians in the entertainment industry and right now her small home country of Armenia is at war against 2 larger and more populous neighboring countries whose leaders wish to repeat another Armenian genocide and force them off their homeland in the Nagorno Karabakh region and have already killed innocent people.
I simply ask that you are aware of the current Armenia-Azerbaijan War, learn about the Armenian Genocide, and see if you can support in anyway through donations, writing emails to news stations, or spreading awareness through your social media, stories, and daily conversations with family, friends and coworkers. ➡️SWIPE RIGHT➡️

Some days I don't feel like getting up.
Some days I just want to stay in bed.
Some days I'm late.
Some days like today my body gets up 30 minutes before my alarm clock and says let's go.
But every single damn day, no matter how I felt, I always got up and gave my best and now it's just a habit.
Keep going, keep getting up & keep giving your best because that is how we get better, how life gets better, how we get to where we want to go.

8 weeks ago I had zero use of my right arm for 17 days because of my dislocation and minor fracture.
After 4 weeks I couldn't even do a plank with both arms down but I kept slowly training and progressing.
✅Week 1 I started slowly moving my arm from the shoulder and work on range of motion exercises. Only 10% ROM. Still trained the rest of my body and my 3 good limbs. Doubled my supplements and made a more nutrient dense, healing and anti-inflammatory smoothie recipe.
✅Week 2 Trained the rest of my good muscles even more. A little more ROM exercises. 4-5x/wk workouts.
✅Week 3 Unilateral exercises going just arm weight with my injured arm and 80% on my good side.Tried partnered dancing 1 arm 😅
✅Week 4 A little more of everything mostly ROM. Very slow and careful 2 arm partner dancing. Used baby weights (2-10lbs) for injured arms and upper body exercises even though PAs and surgeons told me not to.
✅Week 5 Partied lol. More dancing and upped the weights to 2-15lbs.
✅Week 6 More ROM, TONS of stretching and upped the weights to 5-20lbs for push exercises, able to dead hang with both arms unassisted. Pick up and carry my 4.5 year old daughter with both arms 🥰👨‍👧 Tried a chin up/pull up, felt weird so I bailed which I should have done on the swing jump 6 weeks ago 😅 haha 🤦‍♂️. 500 rep arm workout was a terrible idea.
✅Week 7 (this week) Finally able to do push ups but using push up bars because my right wrist is still healing & right elbow still feels unstable with the newer movements, 2 pull ups, dropped the arm workout to 300 reps (much better for mobility and improved ROM) listened more to my body's pain points and limits. 4-5x/wk workouts, 1-2 dance sessions (light, no lifts or tricks 😔) and still training my adult members and children's classes and always doing the dynamic stretches, warm ups and some cool down stretches.

Looking back and considering the stresses from work, business and life. I am handling it well and not stressing about it. I'm concerned, taking action and being aware but not worrying.
Time heals all things and when we work intentionally daily time heals all things faster and makes all things better.

A setback is a setup for success.

If you cannot take 5 minutes to be still and meditate then you are not in control of your time, your life and yourself.
Being an active and a go-go-go person, I made excuses to never meditate except with my short prayers before every meal which 30 seconds is barely meditation or not even but it does practice gratitude and taking a moment to be still.
Today I decided to wake up earlier on a Sunday then I normally do (4am vs 9am), be still, truly meditate and simply taking 60 intentional deep breaths so my focus is on my breathing, inhaling through my nose, exhaling from my mouth, being fully aware of my lungs expanding then my diaphragm expanding, and freeing my mind of all thoughts.
Now I feel calmer, thoughts are more organized, and I have taken back control of my mind and time.

Leave the negative in one area of your life stay in its own area. Do not bring your personal problems to your professional life and vice versa and do not let your performance suffer.
Do not let a bad day at work make you skip a workout and binge eat and drink at happy hour rather let the bad day at work MOTIVATE you to go HARD in your workout, release your stress, and take your anger and frustrations out on the weights, punching bag, or trainer 😂🤣😅 (unless it's me then you better watch yo self! Haha).
It is ok to feel anger but do not commit wrong. Turn your anger and frustrations into fuel to burn 🔥 you to achieve your goals, passions and dreams.
🔥Setbacks, failures, rejections and injuries will not stop me. Nothing can stop me. Nothing can break me. I AM UNSTOPPABLE. I AM UNBREAKABLE. I AM UNRELENTING.
