On Tuesday April 19th, Photographer David Liittschwager will project images from his new book Octopus, Seahorse, Jellyfish at the McRoskey 3rd Floor Loft located at 1687 Market St. in San Francisco. Doors open at 7pm and the event starts at 7:30pm. More info can be found at www.thegreenarcade.com.

David Liittschwager has spent 12 years photographing octopuses, seahorses and jellyfish for this book. He traveled to more than 28 locations around the world—from Tasmania to Bonaire, the Florida Keys to the Solomon Islands, Portugal to Japan—equipped with his trusty 500-pound photo studio.

The acclaimed National Geographic photographer has been able to capture three notoriously mysterious sea creatures and their unnerving beauty. As New Yorker writer and bestselling author Elizabeth Kolbert notes in her foreword to the book, “the marvelous creatures in this book need—and deserve—our protection.”

A selection of David’s photographs will be on sale at the event.

On April 6th from 7pm to 9pm The Poetry Center at SF State and The Green Arcade Present Stefano Harney and Fred Moten at the McRoskey Loft located 1687 Market St. in San Francisco.

"Involvement and Betrayal," a talk (One of four linked lectures at four Bay Area venues supported by the Bagley Wright Lecture Series on Poetry).
