Happy Monday! Idk about you but holidays that fall on Mondays are my favorite. It’s an extra day to the weekend to relax, practice some self care, and get ready for a short week!

One of the things I love about being a small business owner is the ability to change and transform each year. Did you know that all of our candles are scented with a unique blend of anywhere from two, three, or four different fragrances?

With every candle I try to find the perfect balance of top middle and bottom notes to create something different, something unique. But most importantly, and honestly why I started making candles, was because I wanted to create scents that evoke an emotion or a memory, or both. When I saw this quote it just reminded why I make candles.

One aspect of candle making I don’t see a lot of candle makers talk about is the math that goes into each candle or batch. Candle making is very much a science that, IMO to get just the right balance, requires precise measurements and a few different formulas.

From measuring wax in ounces and fragrance oils in grams, it’s not something I rush. Also, this is the process that I have found works for me! There is no way one to make candles. Everyone has their own way and process. This is just mine.

Oh yeah, and lots of post-it notes!

Today I’m working on a few new fragrances for Spring and Summer, might add one or two to my signature line! We’ll see! What fragrances do you want to see for spring and summer??
