Don't you think perfection is the most flawed concept ever? What does it even mean? Often, we find ourselves in pursuit of perfection... as a society ... but how is it possible when the very nature of being human is about being flawed? Are we then not going against our own grain? What does that help achieve? The farther we move away from our true nature, the greater the distance we need to travel to unbecome…
Wouldn't it be so much easier to just accept? Accept each other and accept ourselves for who we are. And spend the rest of the time embracing what we all bring to the table. Life would certainly be a happier place. Not perfect,no. But real…
Happy. Calm. Content.
Regrets!
I often find myself thinking about life and its purpose. Things that have been. That will be. And the pace at which life moves. Before one knows it, years have gone by. The laughter...the tears…the choices made…the price paid. There are people who have no regrets in life, and then there are people like me who have many. The list of going back into time and changing things. Undoing. Redoing is longer. But the one thing that has been a constant has been believing in myself. And in pushing my limits to reset.
LIFE…after all the journey is more important than the destination. And life is about preparing for the homecoming!
Being a parent. Just that. Nothing else touches the heart as deeply 🩷💙
It took me a long time to realise this… Home isn't always a place. Is it?
Silence. The profoundness of being connected to oneself.
There’s so much stigma attached to fights between a couple, even though they can be completely normal. In my conversation with , I discussed how, sometimes, a healthy approach to resolving fights can even make your relationship stronger.
The bigger the tree ..the stronger . The deeper are its roots. If the tree gets uprooted, it topples over and dies. People are like that.
I believe we need to be rooted to something…not necessarily ethnicity, but something deep that we stand for. If you were to take everything else away.. what do you stand for? That …are our roots.
We all have to figure out what we stand for.. even our children.. but whilst they do the figuring out, they need to feel the sense of security that comes with feeling loved.
They can fly all they want, but as parents, we need to make sure they are rooted. Else, it becomes about survival and not flight.
The cat is working hard even at 30,000 feet!!😉
The mice are at play!!
Marriage is never 50-50 .. The percentages are best left to business ownerships. I feel a strong marriage is one where one puts what is the need of the hour, and that is why it’s a team sport. Sometimes, one has less to contribute with given the need at a point in time, and sometimes it’s the reverse.Different skill sets are important, or else it’s a very lopsided team.
I was traveling internationally for work for 2 weeks and my other half ( my better half, especially at the moment :-)) took over. Bedtime stories, food, school drops, parent teacher meetings, soccer, swimming, putting the children to bed, and waking them up with hugs and cuddles.
And then there are times when he is the laziest person on this planet! But it doesn’t matter. I know he will have my back when I need it. Just like I will. It’s never 50-50, but as long as it’s based on mutual respect, it doesn’t matter..
Time for all of us to take a bow !! So proud !! ISRO 👏🏼👏🏼
Saare jahaan se accha … Jai Bharat 🙏🏽🇮🇳
In a world filled with distractions, take a moment to truly connect with your loved ones. Be fully present… Sometimes, all they need is your undivided attention to feel truly seen and loved.
India … you will always have my heart ♥️

A Great Nation is built with Great People. This is the relentless effort we need to make in the coming years: building individuals who are physically robust, mentally unassailable, and brimming with skills.
Which one are you?
When you are out for the day with your favorite people, you could be anywhere and have fun.. but being in this absolutely gorgeous winery certainly helped!! 😉
My kids play soccer or football as it's called in Europe.. they were mesmerized by the FC Porto stadium.. why weren't they born when I was working at Arsenal ?!.. for starters, I wouldn't have to pay to get a tour !! 😉
The second week of our Portugal trip took us to smaller villages and towns... off the beaten track which is the part that I enjoy much more than large cities…we reached the home of poetry and music and the largest university in Portugal…Coimbra ..and came to this little cafe on the cobbled streets…where with the espresso came a rolled up piece of paper, nicely wrapped with a straw ribbon. This is what it said…
Sometimes, we come across something that makes us think…introspect…am certain there is truth in this…but I wonder if that’s the reason it came to me..or is it because it’s meant for me..
The wine country - spending some days living in a vineyard..nothing like starting your day with a mimosa and ending with a glass of port .. this is what paradise looks like to the wine lover in me!!
Life..will always find a way to push us to test our limit..but hold on to what you believe in…and reset …maybe we weren’t aiming high enough…
Meant to be.. Is what we create out of what we are dealt..and never ever settle without giving it your all. And just at that nth minute when you think..the wind is out of your sail..hold on tight…give it everything and more…the fire in the belly…the ambition.. The drive… the not being ok with the ordinary…and then that gust of wind will come…and propel you.
Just don’t give up.
Just soak it all in... and see how your world opens up. We add on so many layers with time... Children have the power to strip all that away if we just allow it.
I love quaint seaside towns! Lovely start to the holidays :)
Last day of 1st grade!! Summer holidays begin … yippee!!
A good cup of coffee sets the tone for the rest of the day!
I have read this a million times, and yet every time that I do, it still gets me in the gut.
My all-time favorite
*Life at Harvard*
Almost halfway through the first session! What a privilege to be amongst some of the brightest from across the globe. Intense.Inspiring.
I love the quiet reflective moments…they help me cut out the noise so I can focus on things that are integral to me, to my growth, and to my learning.
I love change. There was a time in life when i hated change...now, I thrive on it. Getting outside my comfort zone...it keeps me on my toes..it pushes me to do things that often don't come naturally to me...today I view staying within my comfort zone as stagnating...I love the adrenaline rush that comes with stepping into unchartered territories...it makes me push my limits..and then reset those...I realised that all my learning has come from when I am in the deep end of the pool…
Today was the first lesson for my children… they had saved money in their piggy bank and thought they had lots of money ! So I decided to take them shopping. Two hours later they found something that they could afford to buy. They learnt to pay and they learnt to choose by working within a budget.
I learnt that the sheer joy of innocence and simplicity can be found in the simplest of things …in this case a $5 car.
I hope this helps my children learn not just the cost of things but more Importantly the value of them.
What is more powerful than a hug.. than the feeling of being understood…
than forgiveness...
than letting go?
Nothing.
It’s not time... but love, that is the greatest healer🔆
Finally, spring is here!
Long time coming!!
