(PREP) was thrilled to celebrate our recent launch of our brand-new career site at our Pacifica in October, along with an exciting Family Fun Day event! This collaboration with the South Dallas Employment Project ( ) and will enable us to extend our job training and placement services to all our residents.
PREP General Partner, Travis Pacoe, was able to attend the event and shared his insights on this event: “We are truly excited about the potential impact of this partnership and our new career site. The combined efforts represent a step towards a more empowered community.”

Meet Ms. Lamiya, one of the junior high school students who applied for our Scholarship Program. Throughout her academic journey, she has immersed herself in various STEM-related courses. She's been actively involved in robotics competitions since middle school and even took part in a team experimental competition for NASA during her sophomore year of high school.
What makes her journey even more inspiring is that she will be the first in her family to attend college. Her plan is to major in computer science, with the possibility of minoring in either mechanical engineering or architecture.
While Lamiya didn't qualify for our scholarship this time, as a token of support and appreciation, Polaris decided to award her with a laptop to assist in her educational journey.

Ms. Brittney, a mother of four teenage daughters, ranging in age from 2 to 17, and a dedicated claims associate.
In her teenage years, Brittney faced the unexpected challenge of becoming a mother, but rather than letting it deter her, she successfully completed high school. And now, she decided to further her education.
Brittney's decision to pursue higher education isn't just about personal growth; it's also a powerful message to her teenage daughters. She wants to demonstrate to them that with hard work and determination, anyone can improve themselves and reach their goals.
Brittney will be enrolled in an online course as a claim specialist at the University of Phoenix this upcoming fall. We hope that this Gold scholarship of $4,000 that she received will provide her with the essential financial support she needs.

Looking ahead, her aspirations are set on attending medical school and securing a spot in a NICU residency. Her heart's desire is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of premature infants and to offer solace to their families through patience and compassion.
Sonia's ultimate vision involves advocating for the voiceless and becoming a proud member of the mere 2.4% of Latinas who wear the physician's coat. Her purpose is not just to make a difference, but to embody the difference itself. This unwavering passion is the driving force behind her meticulously planned journey towards a lifelong career.
Sonia received our Gold Scholarship of $4,000 but with her inspiring story, we awarded her $1,000 more, for a total of $5,000. Polaris feels honored to stand by her side as she pursues her education. We extend our heartfelt best wishes to Sonia as she endeavors to turn her dreams into reality.

(PREP), a principal investor and manager of multifamily properties, is excited to announce its purchase of The Enclave, a 90 unit stabilized asset in .
"We have acquired The Enclave at a low cost per unit, despite Austin experiencing a 27% increase in rental rates since the beginning of 2021. We purchased the property all cash to eliminate financing risk in today’s challenging borrowing environment," stated Travis Pacoe, of PREP. General Partner Ron Abta further emphasized the unique advantage of The Enclave's proximity to a proven asset, stating: "With the neighboring property, we have a strong opportunity to leverage existing resources and optimize operational efficiency between these two adjacent properties."

As a key component of Project Connect, the city's voter-approved $7.1 billion public transportation vision plan in 2020, the Orange Line is one of two planned light rail transit corridors. Alongside the Blue Line, an 8.2-mile light rail line connecting Republic Square in downtown Austin to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the Orange Line will act as the central backbone for a new regional high-capacity transit network.
The conclusion of the plan is anticipated to take place in the fall, coinciding with the release of the final environmental impact statement and the securing of the FTA record of decision by winter or early 2023.

Exciting News! Wells Fargo's impressive $500 million campus is set to become the new home for thousands of dedicated bank employees. Breaking ground in Irving, , the much-anticipated two-tower office campus spans an impressive 850,000 square feet and is located just 14 miles northwest of downtown Dallas.
Once completed, Wells Fargo plans to consolidate over 800,000 square feet of office space from 14 different locations throughout - into this remarkable campus. During the groundbreaking ceremony, CEO Charlie Scharf expressed the company's commitment to the Dallas-Fort Worth region, where they have added approximately 1,200 jobs in the past five years. Their workforce in the area now totals 6,800 employees, with a strong focus on technology and risk management roles.

Great news! 's decision to lease a significant amount of space in indicates their continued and confidence in the city's tech sector. Austin has been a hub for technology companies, and IBM's presence since 1967 showcases their long-standing commitment to the region.
The move to lease 320,000 square feet across two newly proposed buildings demonstrates IBM's intention to expand its operations and potentially accommodate a growing workforce in Central . Why Financial Literacy Is So Important?
Every few years, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) issues a five-question test as part of its National Financial Capability Study, which measures consumers’ knowledge about interest, compounding, inflation, diversification, and bond prices. On its most recent test, only 34% of those who took the test got four out of five questions correct, which suggests that the basic economic and financial principles that underpin these problems are widespread.
Understanding the importance of it, Polaris has partnered with FPA of Dallas/Ft. Worth to provide sessions for residents to have more knowledge about financing. The purpose of this quarter’s class is about planning financial for uncertain times. The idea behind the fire drill is that if you were ever in a catastrophic situation where you no longer had your monthly income, you’d need to dip into your savings or emergency fund to take care of yourself. If you avoid using your monthly income, and instead dip into your back up plan, you’ll see just how well your system can hold up. This can also be a great way to save extra money during the month.
As we are approach the second quarter of 2021, there are encouraging developments that the Covid-19 pandemic impact is slowly improving, and life can become normal as more people are getting vaccinated. As providers of housing, we feel it is our responsibility to make sure our residents always feel safe and happy in our community during this transition to normalcy.
One of our ideas that we have recently decided to implement across all communities was partnering with Little Free Library, a non-profit organization focused on helping communities share books by installing book-sharing boxes across communities in America. By partnering with Little Free Library, we were able to install these libraries in each leasing office for the residents to come and find new books as well as share their own favorite books for others to read. We also get many books donated from local libraries and schools to make the libraries’ collections more diverse.
We believe these libraries can have a profound impact in increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds. The wide variety of these book collections also encourage people in the community to access a diverse source of information and perspective from our own residents. Access to books is also cited as the number-one predictor of a child’s ability to thrive in school. We hope this Little Free Library can bring the community together and help with the diversity issues that are prevalent across US communities.
