Bringing some geometric elegance to this room, Jim Thompson Fabrics "Octavian" velvet in emerald green accents the subtle hues and clean lines of this room by Tula Demetra Summerford Interior Design. This geometric cut velvet is named after Octavian, the star of Duquette’s 1952 triumph for the San Francisco Opera, Der Rosenkavalier. The octagon shapes appear throughout Duquette’s work as far back as the 1960’s in his iconic Ducommun House interiors. Octavian Velvet combines two shades of velvet pile against a fine cotton satin ground, creating a modern and glamorous upholstery weave.
