This sweet moment on our last day as the owners of Beloved Cafe in San Francisco’s Mission. It’s hard to describe the feeling of wrapping up 8 years of love and devotion to a vision of nourishing the community with healing foods. The bittersweetness of handing over the keys to our managers with our blessings to carry the vision forward. There is peace in knowing that Beloved will live on for another chapter and sweet sadness in relinquishing a much loved business to make space for the next big adventure in our lives. This cafe grew us and forged our leadership and our relationship as partners in business and in life. The lessons we have gained are priceless. In some cosmic way, this thread will be woven into the tapestry of life and used for some other sparkling creative endeavor 💜

The end of an era is near! While we are still eagerly planning to transfer ownership to the managers of Beloved, we haven’t finalized the transfer and still need your good wishes and support.

As many of you heard by now, last week we announced that Beloved Cafe's final day of operation will be August 18th. It came with a lot of sadness and a huge outpour from the community wishing for the continuation of Beloved.

Our managers Ana and Jenny and their sister Yohana (a former manager of Beloved) expressed their desire to continue operating Beloved Cafe and carry on its mission as its new owners.

We are deeply touched by their commitment to seeing the cafe forward and acknowledge the tremendous undertaking of being a restaurant owner-operator.

Jenny and Ana are urgently asking for your support in raising money for early operating costs.

Dear Beloved Cafe Community,

We need your help to continue working at a place we’ve called our second home for the past seven years.

We were initially shocked and sad about the news of Beloved closing after so many happy years serving the community, but there’s a silver lining for us if we can get your help. The owners have given us there opportunity to continue Beloved Cafe as the new owners.

We are so excited about this opportunity!! But we need your help, or it will be lost. All donations will be used for start-up costs which include staffing, inventory, equipment and building maintenance, licenses and legal fees, along with many other items.

Today we have the second new moon of the month, when this happens, it is called a Black Moon. We also have a solar eclipse, the first of this season, ushering us into a series of eclipses that will bring us to the end of October.

These astrological events are in the sign of Ta**us—a sign deeply connected to the earth, the soil, the ground beneath us. Over the last few months we have experienced some forward movement, and now, Ta**us offers some grounding energy for us to pause and re-tether to the earth.

Ta**us also embodies art, beauty, and enjoyment. As we slow down, we might invite some juiciness into those in-between moments. Aligning with the energy that Ta**us has to offer might assist us as it contrasts with the sometimes destabilizing force of eclipses.

We are invited to connect back to the earth, we are invited to slow down, regroup, and continue forward from our center.

New Moon in Pisces ~ pulling dreams down to earth ~

Our watery friend Pisces brings some mutable energy to this month's new moon. As we move into March, there seems to be a buzz in the air. The undercurrent of spring stirring and waking us up from winter slumbers.

Pisces is associated with intuition, the collective unconscious, our own unconscious mind, and the world of dreams. Holding the archetype of the Mystic, with empathy, creativity, and faith.

With this new moon, we may feel a deeper connection to our heart's truest desires and deepest dreams. What would it feel like to open to those visions and work to bring our own individual heaven down to earth in service of the collective? How can you cultivate faith and trust in that vision held in the recesses of your heart and bring it forth with creativity, and imagination? May we each put our faith into our most aligned purpose on this planet and let it be so.

Entering 2022 under the influence of Capricorn, we are able to harness and use to our advantage the more orderly & disciplined nature of this sign. As we take stock of 2021 and acknowledge all that moved through us, we are able to then set the stage for our year ahead from a grounded place. New Moon in Scorpio ~ watery depths ~

Yesterday’s new moon has the potential to bring with it some intensity as the watery depths of Scorpio may bring deeper layers of emotion to the surface. We may notice buried sensations arising, and as best as we can, it might serve us to allow them to bubble up. Stepping into surrender and allowing all that appears to fully arrive and be ~ without trying to change or judge ~ can be helpful in our growth. On Monday, we moved through the
New Moon in Virgo as we started to feel the first whispers of Autumn, and with them the energetic shift – within and without.

We welcome the cooling energy, softening to the slowing down in the cycle of life.

The new moon in Virgo can support us in this shift. As an earth sign that loves order, Virgo harmonizes with the "back to school" feeling of this time of year, helping us get organized, create systems for change, and engage with the earth in a meaningful, intentional way.

Virgo represents a powerful relationship between humans and earth. Often depicted as a woman carrying a sheaf of wheat, Virgo seeks mastery over its environment.

In addition to our signature plant-based recipes, we will be baking fresh organic sourdough bread, offering a full espresso bar, an expanded brunch menu, and the debut of our most delicious offering—warm melt-in-your-mouth or****ic sourdough donuts.

Beloved NYC will have a large space to bring together community around music, dance, tea, and other events.
