Don’t write off abandoned bookings. This strategy recovered hundreds of room nights.

Level Los Angeles - Downtown South Olive implemented an automated cart abandonment drip campaign for potential guests who started the booking process but didn’t follow through.

Each potential guest received an email when the booking engine was abandoned and again two days later as a gentle reminder for the guest to complete the reservation.

The results? 684 room nights booked in just over 6 months! All from the power of an automated email.

Guest: “I should really finish booking with that hotel I was researching last night.”

Hotel: “Yes, you should! (Not that hoteliers can read minds .😉)

In a perfect scenario, the hotelier then sends a shopping cart abandonment email to the guest, complete with messaging of how much they’d love for that guest to book a stay with them.

Or that hotelier places an outbound call saying, “Remember us? We know you showed interest in our hotel, and we’d love to have you!”
Outbound strategies like that drive direct business.
