We’re working with composer Tarik O'Regan on a new commission titled "Requiem for the Estranged,” which will explore mourning complicated relationships and estrangement from the past.
Our aim with this new choral work is to share stories of estrangement from the Bay Area community to reflect back the often unspoken impact of the difficult but necessary choices we make while leaving an aspect of our past behind to find new opportunities. We are not alone in our experiences, and this piece will offer an opportunity for connection and solace when confronting a past that is no longer our current reality. We’re inviting community members to share their stories to help shape this new work through July 31. Learn more at iocsf.org/nea .
