For decades, the nine-hole golf course in Golden Gate Park has flown below the radar. Starting next week, @firepitcollective will take you into the dirt–or, in this case, the sand–of a restoration project that brings the Golden Gate Park Golf Course the TLC it needed and deserved.

Good morning golfers,

We will start course renovations on Monday March 6th. The final day to play our course with its current design and layout will be this Sunday March 5th.

We will be hosting two informational meetings, one tomorrow 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM and one on Saturday March 4th 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM. We will be happy to answer any questions, concerns and issues during this time.

Our course is closed again today due to the continual heavy rain and heavy wind! We hope to be open tomorrow! Enjoy the football games!

We are open today! The course is very saturated and wet. We have a lot of tree damage and low hanging branches.

I know we all want to do an outdoor activity but if you can resist the urge to golf it will give our gardening crew time to clean up debris and give the course time to heal from the storm!

Good morning, all SF municipal golf courses have been closed again today due to saturation, fallen trees and storm debris. We apologize if you had a tee time for today. We hope to be open tomorrrow. Please do not visit the course while we are closed. It is very unsafe to walk on the course and our gardeners need time to clear the course of all the debris. Thank you!

Good morning golfers, our greens will be aerated on Wednesday May 11th. Please plan your tee times accordingly and be advised that it takes around two weeks for our greens to fully recover.

This Saturday we hosted our 5th annual Valentines Couples tournament. The love was in the air, the weather was beautiful and the golf was great especially for Doug and Wendy who won our 18 hole tournament with a score of +4! Congrats! ❤️

Thanks for the love from golf.com! We are committed to growing the game of golf and are looking forward to the construction of our new clubhouse next year. We have spent 7 years working at GGPGC, through good times and bad the local community has always been our greatest advocates.

This year we will have our most successful year to date. Approximately 45,000 rounds of golf will be played at GGPGC, and we hope to continue on our current trajectory.

Why Golden Gate Park Golf Course is the best course you've never heard of Located in the heart of San Francisco's answer to Central Park is Golden Gate Park's golf course, a delightful 9-holer from Jack Fleming.

Good morning golfers, remember this weekend is Outside Lands Music Festival so if you are coming to the course Friday-Sunday please give yourself extra time to get to here. All roads through the park will be closed and the only route to get to the course is at 47th and Fulton.

Attention Golfers:

With the recently announced changes to the City and County of San Francisco Department of Public Health ordinances, we need to make some adjustments to our operating procedures immediately.

Effective TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8th, Golden Gate Park Golf Course will be allowing TWOSOMES ONLY. It is not required that both players be from the same household. This will require some dramatic changes to our existing reservations for the foreseeable future.

All of the existing reservations THROUGH SATURDAY DECEMBER 14th will be CANCELLED. You will be able to rebook as a SINGLE OR TWOSOME ONLY. We know that this is disappointing news and we feel for you and all of those affected by this latest order from our City and County.
