Let’s all take a moment to thank our friends. Can you think of someone who has really made a difference in your life for the better? Our ten year anniversary on Union St has put us in reminiscing mode.
Kyonghee Shin is one such monumentally consequential figure in Wrecking Ball Coffee herstory.
She first met us as a writer and visited our roasting room to write a story about coffee. Then she kept visiting and naturally started doing the things she saw Trish doing at the roaster. After a while we realized she was a roaster for WB - the first roasting apprentice and eventually lead roaster -then became our quality control officer.
She now works for The Specialty Coffee Association as the chief coordinator and liaison to several countries including her beloved homeland 🇰🇷
She created the hashtag and no, sorry, we don’t have any more of the T-shirts you see in that photo. That was a limited design from 2017 that we dedicated to her.
Thank you, Beany, for your wisdom, guidance, enthusiasm, mad skills, and true friendship all of these years.
