In 2008, we decided to open a small sushi bar in Pacific Heights that only sold responsibly sourced, environmentally friendly seafood -- the first sustainable sushi restaurant in the U.S. In 2015 we expanded into our new home a few doors down.

tatakisf Lots of you have asked for it, and we're here to serve! Our ramen is finally ready for your to-go and delivery orders! Pictured above is our Spicy Garlic Miso Ramen! A pleasant burn from the spice of the broth pairs well with the soft boiled egg and crispy pork belly, while the green onions and soy sauteed menma add a fresh crisp! All ramen flavors will be available starting today, Friday August 21!

Our special poke bowls await you at Tataki! Choose between Iwana (Arctic Char, pictured), Shiro Maguro (Albacore Tuna), Tako (Octopus), or fried Tofu. Served over rice and mixed with onion, cucumbers, and massaging, this special will be around for takeout or DoorDash! We’ve added DoorDash as one of our ways to serve you, we hope you’ll give it a try!

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce that we are officially open for business again!
Tataki will be serving TO-GO ORDERS ONLY starting tomorrow for dinner service. We will start accepting orders at 4:30 and will continue until 8:30. Our hours and protocols will continue this way for the foreseeable future. Let's all work together, eat well, and stay safe! See you soon!
Tataki will be temporarily closing its doors starting today, 3/16.
We sincerely apologize for this; we had hoped we could continue to provide some level of food and service to the community via to-go orders, but in an effort to comply with local regulations as well as be precautionary, we are ceasing business for the coming few weeks.
Rest assured that will will open again as soon as it is safe and legal to do so.

Super fresh Madai/ Japanese sea bream just arrived, also we have weekly specials from today: spicy Hawaii kampachi Tar Tar with tortillas chips, tempura shallots, black tobiko, micro cilantro. Chawanmushi /Japanese style steamed egg custard with Alaska snow crab shiitake mushrooms, Uni, Ikura, enoki mushrooms.

The Original Sustainable Sushi Bar. In 2008, we decided to open a small sushi bar in Pacific Heights that only sold responsibly sourced, environmentally friendly seafood -- the first sustainable sushi restaurant in the U.S. In 2015 we expanded into our new home a few doors down.
Sustainable seafood is seafood that is either caught or farmed in ways that consider the long-term vitality of harvested species and the well-being of the oceans, as well as the livelihoods of fisheries-dependent communities. It was first promoted through the sustainable seafood movement which began in the 1990s. This operation highlights overfishing and environmentally destructive fishing methods. Through a number of initiatives, the movement has increased awareness and raised concerns over the way our seafood is obtained.
