As women's swimming and diving season starts today, get ready to celebrate the incredible achievements of Mya Azzopardi (Mya Azzopardi), our phenomenal San Jose State University Sophomore from Malta who officially joins our Palmetto Superfoods Sports Division!

Mya is not just a talented swimmer; she’s a fierce competitor who has proudly represented her home country of Malta at numerous world and European championships. With several age groups and national senior records under her belt, she truly exemplifies dedication and excellence in the sport. In 2023, she made waves by medaling in the Games of Small States of Europe! She now holds Malta's National Records in the 200m Freestyle, 100m and 200m Backstroke, and the 200m and 400m Medley!

We’re honored to keep her fueled this season the Palmetto way as she takes it to another level!

Her journey to becoming a top-tier player began long before she set foot on Stanford’s campus as she is 2019’s Tennessee State Champion and was awarded Tennessean Sports Award Female of the Year in 2018. A Mid-season All-American, 3x Defensive Player of the week, 2x Offensive-Player of the week, and 3rd overall in the NCAA for draw controls - she’s only scratching the surface. Taylor is a senior majoring in Business and Finance and also a midfielder for San Jose State University's women's soccer team. In 2022, she contributed to bringing home the Mountain West Championship!

Before her time at San Jose State, Taylor was already three-time all-league and in 2020, she was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year.
